I went on some whiteboard and couldn’t think of something to draw…. 5 seconds later this is what comes from my hands. This is not the BEST of what I can draw, especially since this website has limited colours and stuffs, but I did it!

So quick run down of my Danny Phantom au, also known as,

Ghost Home AU:

The Fentons start building the portal in their basement way earlier, like when Danny is 4

Jazz usually babysits her little brother since their parents are really busy working on their newest machine

Just like canon it doesn't work at first

They don't lock up the lab because they had immediately gone to sleep since they had spent all day finishing up the machine and were exhausted

Danny, ever the curious little bean, wants to see what has gotten his parents so upset so when Jazz isn't looking he quickly scampered off into the lab

He quickly finds the portal and like any toddler is immediately like "wow!"

He explores around inside a bit and he spots a big button on the side that says "ON"

Danny's thought process is that if he can make the machine work then his parents will be happy and since he doesn't know what the machine does he quickly grabs a stool and presses the button

Just like canon the ghost portal turns on and Danny is turned into a halfa but unlike canon the Fenton parents rushed this portal a lot more so they don't have to spend too much time away from their youngest

So the portal short fuses after a few seconds of being on but that was enough time for Danny to get turned into a halfa

And because the portal closed while he was inside it he was basically ejected into the ghost zone

Jazz at this point has noticed her baby brother is missing and is looking for him

She quickly finds the basement door slightly open

She investigates but finds nothing, no trace of Danny

She continues looking around the house but Danny has completely disappeared

Jazz wakes up her still exhausted parents and they all quickly start panicking over Danny's sudden disappearance

Meanwhile Danny is just sorta floating through the ghost zone, crying because getting zapped hurt but also because he has no idea where he is

Walker finds him while out looking for some escaped prisoners

Danny immediately attaches himself to Walker bc he is scared of being left alone

Waller pretty much has no choice but to give up his search and take the "little punk" home

From then on Walker basically raises Danny, soon discovering his status as a halfa

Walker tries to find some clue to the portal that brought Danny to the ghost zone but it never reappears and the natural portals that lead to Amity park are too unstable to allow Danny's physical form to pass through so he is basically stuck

Danny grows up in the ghost zone, raised by Walker and soon by other ghosts he comes across because Danny is an explorative little rascal

Ember is his self proclaimed older sister that teaches him how to play guitar

Bullet is 100% his second dad after Walker. For as tough and hardened as he acts he takes one look at toddler Danny and he is immediately like a different person ("only Danny deserves rights" he said that the first time Danny hugged him)

Ghost writer is his 'teacher' (pseudo older brother) and teaches Danny with the wide variety of books he has collected in his personal library

Cujo is Danny's dog

Frostbite is Danny's uncle that he visits regularly for medical advice (like twice a month bc u really think a bunch of inexperienced ghosts know anything about raising a (half) human child?)

Johnny, Kitty and Shadow have proclaimed themselves as Danny's best friends and for some reason Danny doesn't gain any bad luck when touching Shadow, no one can figure out why

The lunch lady teaches Danny how to cook (also Walker bc she spent a majority of her life feeding children and refuses to let Walker feed his new son prison food just bc he has nothing else in stock)

Box ghost rants abt his plans for world domination to him (Danny mostly just likes playing with his boxes and they build big box forts together)

Danny wanders into Dora's kingdom one day and now everyone knows that if Dora is ever in her angry dragon form and cant be calmed they should just bring her Danny and she'll calm right down

Skulker did try at first to capture Danny but Walker and Ember made it clear from their first meeting that if he lays a finger on Danny's head they will be out for blood

So now Skulker has been reduced to nanny duty whenever Walker is chasing criminals and no one else is free

Undergrowth teaches Danny how to garden and the importance of nature

Tenchus is Danny's wacky uncle and loves the fact that Danny has a natural affinity for working with machinery and inventing (tho Danny is really nervous around machines w/ buttons on them and Technus can't figure out why so he makes all his machines lever operated instead to sooth Danny's nerves)

Fright Knight met Danny once when he was 7, he hasn't been heard from since (Kitty and Dora can be credited w/ that one)

Youngblood is instantly friends with Danny when they meet and they play make believe all the time, even when Danny grows up and becomes a teenager he still considers Youngblood as one of his closest friends and a little brother

Clockwork is also a sort of father figure to Danny. Danny hangs out at his tower alot and they prank the Obseevants together (Clockwork's tower is pretty much inaccessible to everyone except Danny and the Observants but Danny never realises he basically has the literal god of time on his side bc "its just Clocky, he's just another ghost like the rest of us" like no little man that is a god)

So Danny grows up in the Ghost Zone and while he knows he is a halfa and that he does have a human family he has long forgotten about them apart from a few blurry memories that feel more like dreams

By the time he is 12 he has already accepted that the ghost zone is his home and he will probably never see the 'living realm' again

Every once in a while Danny might have a nightmare about walking into a dark basement lab and pressing an ominous button before shooting up awake with phantom pains of the electric shock he took

Everyone still knows him as Danny Phantom bc he was a tiny crying toddler than miss pronounced 'Fenton' and he never bothered correcting them (years later he doesn't even remembered that his surname was never Phantom)

Meanwhile on earth the Fenton family is in shambles

The disappearance of Danny Fenton was all the town could talk about for years

There was no trace of a kidnapping or ransom

Nothing that suggested Danny wandered outside

Soon alot of people believed that the Fentons had killed their youngest and covered it up

Jazz knows for a fact that isn't true but sometimes she gets a doubtful voice in her head and she can't look at her parents the same knowing that if they had payed more attention to their children instead of their inventions that this would never have happened

Tucker is rightfully kinda traumatised bc his kindergarten best friend disappeared without a trace and everyone around him is saying that his parents probably killed him

Even after he meets Sam and they become friends Tucker can never truly forget the little boy that had hung out with him when no one else would

The Fentons still hunt ghosts but its obvious they take everything with alot more seriousness now, no more time for banter or their eccentric personalities, they were here to protect people even if they couldn't protect their own son

They never tried to fix the ghost portal

In their minds if they hadn't been so focused on it then maybe they could've saved Danny from whatever happened to him so the portal is just sorta there unactivated (tho Maddie does replace some of the wiring after she noticed it smoking bc that was a fire hazard)

Danny becomes sorta like a ghost story, a warning among the kids who had been his age when he disappeared

Danny is still listed as a missing person

Jazz just wants to finish highschool and leave for college as soon as possible, she doesn't want to live in the same house that her brother disappeared in nor the same town that accused her parents of such an awful thing

Pretty much everyone has accepted the fact that Danny is definitely dead (except Tucker, he doesnt care if it's irrational he knows that Danny has to be alive out there)

From here the au can go a few different ways and I kind of can't decide so if you guys wanna pick up this au and help develop it more I would really appreciate that!

I feel like in an AU where Nikolas and Emily were still alive and the twins were raised together, the couples that I would want together would be Nikolas/Emily, Jason/Sam, and Drew/Elizabeth.  I also think that AJ and Britt could have been a good couple.

Ghost Home AU: Walker has a son now

The seemingly endless void of green and purple smoke swirled rhythmatically and yet somehow still gave off the impression of stillness, of lifelessness.

A sound broke through the eternal unliving atmosphere of the Ghost Zone. Wailing. Crying. A child crying, loudly and pathetically. They called out for someone, anyone. Yelling for their parents and their sibling.

Walker knew that the punks that escaped had to be hiding somewhere around here. Sure he lost their trail but their trail still led in this direction. He was definitely debating going back though, he could always tell Bullet to go find the goons, especially since he was staring to wander a little far from his territory chasing them down.

He heard the crying and yelling first before he spotted the shape in the distance. Walker despite the name was never one to walk away from any situation, he was stubborn like that, he had to be for the job he did. So he flew towards the shape and as he got closer and closer the crying got louder and louder and he could make out more details.

It didn't take long before he could clearly see it was a child. A toddler, probably no older than 4. The moment the kid noticed Walker flying towards him he quieted down. He stared at Walker, sniffing and still sobbing but no longer screaming.

"Hey little punk, what are you doing all the way-" Walker started once he was close enough that he knew the kid would hear him though he underestimated the fact that he was also close enough for the kid to dash towards him and practically latch onto his arm.

"Don't- don't leave me alone!" The kid yelled while continuing his crying.

Walker looked at the kid, like really looked at him and it finally processed into his mind what 4 year old being in the ghost zone meant. The stark white hair and toxic green eyes already gave away the fact that the kid was a ghost.

There weren't many ghosts on the younger side. Kids usually didn't have the drive or strength to be able to fight back against death enough to become a ghost, they didn't have enough experience in life to develop an obsession. There were a few exceptions like Youngblood and that one ghost that hung out at the school in the living realm but no one ever liked thinking about the implications that came with a child ghost.

Now here was a young kid, now that Walker was closer he could clearly see there was no way he was over 5, who was crying and clinging to Walker obviously not intending to let go.

Walker could only imagine what happened to him. He could tell from how frightened he was that the kid wasn't used to being a ghost, he was a new soul, probably just died. Every ghost knew to never ask about another's death, it was insensitive at best and a common sign of true trust was telling another of your death. Walker has been dealing with the absolute worst of the worst, the scum of the planet since all the way back when he was alive and all the way to now even in his death. Some of things that popped into Walkers head about what kind of death this poor kid suffered, it was enough to make him forget about the criminals he was chasing, forget about doing his job as Warden because right now there was a scared and lost crying child in his arms and he would be damned (again) if he just left them alone.

So that's how he ended up in this situation. Walking through the halls of his prison, specifically the part away from all the actual prison cells and prisoners, while cradling the little punk that had cried himself to sleep in his arms.

Bullet came up to him, no doubt to give a report of how things were going but before he could get a word out he noticed the small form sleeping in Walkers arms. He gave Walker a questioning look.

"Spare room, now" He said and Bullet just wordlessly gestured down the hall, he knew better than to question his boss.

Walker gently laid the kid down on the bed, thankfully things didn't get dusty in the Ghost Zone so even though this room hadn't been in use for years it was still in as good a condition as it had been the last time Walker had come in.

He quickly tucked the kid in before silently leaving the room. As soon as he closed the door he turns around to find Bullet still staring at him.

"I think I have a son now" was all Walker could say as the events of what just happened caught up to him.
