🐰🍫Choco: Up here, you guys! Me and KickinChicken were at the chicken coop that were suddenly shrink down for some reason. Though we did to come by when showing off this painted pumpkin egg we’d found. It’s probably be nothing hatched of this said egg, but sure enough to make it a silly spooky look. Now we’re just had to wait if we can shrink back to our normal sizes later. We can’t miss it before 🎃Halloween arrived.

Is Billy Hatcher a good game?

I think it suffers from a lot of the same problems that Sonic games of the era did, where I think it had a fun and creative idea but stretched things way too thinly. I think I've said it before, but Sonic Team was great at making games that were only an hour or two long, but they were often forced to make games that were three times that length or longer. So they stretched for time.

I'm also not super big on the whole egg mechanic. It feels like an extra layer of complexity that doesn't really make the game more fun or interesting, just harder to play. It makes you have a weird hit box, it makes your controls weird, and it doesn't really add anything super fun, it just makes it different for no reason.

But I hesitate to call it a bad game. It has that Sonic Team Charm. And it was nice to see them stretch their legs and do something besides a Sonic game for once. I wish they got to do more stuff like that, even if it wasn't super successful.

I think it would be useful if Sonic Team had a system like Kirby had for a while, where Kirby would have one normal game, then one weird game, then one normal game, then one weird game, etc. But in this case, I'd want Sonic Team to be able to make a non-Sonic game every now and then. A way to clear their heads.
