21. Part of canon you think is overhyped?

Almost every Disney Star Wars product is a soulless husk but especially the sequel trilogy

It shows really badly that Larian spent so long on Act I due to Early Access and it makes the clunkiness of Act 3 especially really frustrating because you can see how it could have been better

I've never been able to gel with Vox Machina, not the Liveplay or the cartoon

Literally anything Official that WotC or FR does regarding drow makes my eyes roll into the back of my head and my body seize up, why do they keep letting people who hate drow make content for them

23. Ship you've unwillingly come around on

I don't know if unwilling is the word, but genuinely both Astarion and Gale's romances took me by surprise. I was so uninterested in playing BG3 at launch due to a long history of bad DnD experiences but my friends convinced me, so I rolled up Carmela to be literally the worst romance option for Astarion I could think of, because I thought it'd be funny to see if the game could make it work. I thought he was funny looking, I didn't find him appealing, I just thought I'd do it for laughs. But it was a well written romance and he's legitimately a great character when you don't make eye contact with the rest of fandom haha. And Gale was similar, I couldn't work out if he annoyed me or not in my first playthrough, he really didn't grab my attention, so again - I made a character who I thought would be the worst possible choice for him, just to make things interesting, and accidentally made one of my favourite OCs ever and now everything in my life is Gale and Rhyme.

Regardless of their feelings on her betrayal, did your Durge think Orin would make a good Chosen of Bhaal?

Kallian's literally never thought about it. She's Bhaal's favourite most specialest Bhaalspawn, why would he ever need another Chosen? Sure, Orin's also favoured by Bhaal and obviously she'd be better than some random cultist who wasn't even related to him, but why would she ever be Chosen when Kallian's here? And if Kallian wasn't here, well, what would be the point of Orin even existing? It's a ridiculous question! Orin doesn't even want to be Chosen of Bhaal! She loves getting to serve Kallian as her Chosen!

How often did your Durge and Orin really speak to each other, while Durge was Chosen? Did they spend a lot of time together? How did Orin adjust to not having Durge around?

Kallian and Orin were by each other's side constantly. As a child, Orin would have meltdowns after going more than a few hours without Kallian. They've both a bit more independent as adults, but still start getting incredibly anxious after more than a day apart. They shared a room, they ate together and bathed together and slept together. When going about temple business, Orin was always a step behind Kallian, or kneeling at the foot of her throne. They'd often go up to do business in Baldur's Gate seperately, but it also wasn't uncommon for Kallian to drag Orin along to things with her, either as herself or disguised in someone else's body.

Orin did not adjust well to suddenly being alone, after stabbing Kallian. She'd never not had her there to talk to, and started shifting into her so she could keep having conversations that Kallian could answer. (She did end up pissing herself off a lot with all her fake Kallian conversations, but tbf that was also like having the real Kallian there to talk to.)

3. Did your Tav receive any formal or informal education? If yes, how well did they learn? If no, why not?

she attended ye olde public school in bg, and was a pretty mediocre student. she was decently smart, but just didn't care. she paid much closer attention when her father taught her woodworking, but was hopeless with math and gave up on joining the family's carpentry business

she dropped out of school as a teenager when she became pregnant and never returned, instead dedicating herself to helping her parents raise her new "baby sister"

7. What circumstances led to your Tav becoming their Class/Subclass?

people generally become warlocks because they were greedy, tricked, or desperate. aisling was desperate. tragic backstory incoming!

while on an outing a couple miles from the city, aisling and her small daughter caoimhe were attacked by a pack of gnolls. caoimhe had thought they were dogs and ran off to pet them, so they didn't see aisling. unfit to fight them, she prayed to anyone or anything that could hear her for help. she never made a formal pact with her patron, there was just a sudden presence in her mind, watching from an impossibly great distance. it moved her arms in a strange manner and spoke a strange word with her mouth, and she cast eldritch blast for the first time. she drove off the gnolls and carried caoimhe back to the gate, but it was already too late to save her

22. Has your Tav become particularly close to anyone romantically and/or platonically in their journey? If so, who, and what is the relationship like? If no, why not?

she romanced gale! she enjoyed his company from their first meeting and started spending as much time as she could talking with him. they started a tradition of working on a book of crossword puzzles and eating midnight snacks (saved from their own dinner, lae'zel would smash their heads together if they were dipping into rations 😩) in his tent together, until she realized she felt more at home there than she had anywhere else since leaving her parents

I joined my first online/long distance D&D game and the party was in the feywild so I chose to be a gloura once I learned about them

technically there are no archfey in that world because there are deities in the feywild instead, so she's an archfey warlock with no patron... and thus perhaps an archfey? heheheh

finished a commission for a Gloura, an extremely rare fey in the underdark. They are good aligned and have incredible healing powers. Pretty happy with how this one turned out!
