i've finished* adding body shape sliders to my furmiis :o)
there's a height slider, and a heft slider, just like for real miis.
im calling it 'heft' because of 1) alliteration and 2) idk what else to call body fat/muscle mass mixed into one.
*maybe still needs a little tweaking/fixing, and i wouldve liked to have the upper limit for the heft a bit higher but beyond a certain point, due to perhaps my sub-par programming or meshing, very visible seams and gaps start to show up. so thats something to work on ig
My first release that I'm satisfied with :>
Gatchi Panic! is a game I made that you can play in browser! I made it in ten days from scratch including the music and art. In it, you need to survive as long as you can managing needy gatchi critters and managing them all on your limited screen space. The difficulty ramps up quickly, and aim for a high score!
Link below to play! I reccomend a mouse but a trackpad also can work. No mobile support. Have fun!
Don't let your precious pets die!

These are the only sprite designs I'm going to need for the game. I think I've gotten the hang of pixel art next I'm going to either create a side/back view or animate the sprite or design sprites for the other characters hmmmm. Also watched a Godot tutorial today and I'm still fucking confused. My main programming language is Python and GDscript is essentially structured the same but I'm still so fucking confused but I guess I'll figure it out.
Icon-Rogue Devlog #41:
Today's progress: Added an outline to enemies.
It's days like these that make me wonder if I actually like programming or not. When I want to do something that feels like it's so simple- and I just can't. I threw myself at that shader code, but in the end, I couldn't do it. I'm going to have a fucking conniption.
The way I implemented the outline in the end has nothing to do with shaders.
Yeah. I just put copies of the foe's sprite behind it.
I wish I could explain to you all the things I tried, and how this ended up being the best option. I wish I could explain to you why there's two of them. But my vision is going blurry, and I have no idea how long I've been sitting here working on this.
Notice how it looks like shit. That's because I can't fucking figure out how to make it look good.

Got this little guy home two days ago, and I've named him Klink! 💙
He was a Makeship limited campaign from the Godot game engine, and I ordered him completely in the blind, having never even heard of Godot. It was only today that I found out he was the mascot of a game engine lol. I just thought he was insanely cute, so I obviously had to add him to my ever growing mountain of plushies 🙈
Anyways, everybody say hi to Klink 💙 I'm very enchanted by this little guy 🥰
Started learning Godot to build a cozy cat café game and I got tricked into learning object-oriented programming.
