"Hey Shino, can you talk to butterflies too?" Chouji asked, curiosity glittering in gentle hazel eyes. It must have been so cool to be able to talk to insects, Chouji would sure like to know what those blue butterflies that always followed him were thinking. Did they like him that much?

Shino turns to Choji, brows raised. He didn't expect the other to talk to him, he's happy to be adressed, especially by Choji, whom Shino noticed gets followed by butterflies. Anyone who is fancied by insects is also fancied by Shino.

"I can." Shino responds, voice low but soft. "I am capable of communicating with every insect, including butterflies." Shino moves his head slightly to face one of the butterflies following Choji, light reflecting against his sunglasses. "They seem to like your energy. I can't blame them, the reason is because it is pleasant."

sometimes i think about how when i was a baby, not one, but two hippies came up to my parents in two seperate places to tell them that i have a good aura/good spiritual energy
