I know I said I would only write for Gamora and Mantis, but this post is an exception. I'm open to write for the rest of the GOTG crew if it's just platonic. Let me know your thoughts! As always, have a lovely day/night‼️

Peter:

Peter often ruffles your hair if you pass him or if you did a good job on a mission. He will use your shoulder or head as an armrest, mostly to piss you off (man is 6’2, so it’s likely). He will let up if you’re actually upset by his actions, though. 

He appreciates that you’re a fellow Terran because you understand certain customs of Earth. He’ll come to you, eager for a high-five. Despite the action being minuscule, he appreciates the recognition. You’re only the few people who understand his cultural references,

Gamora: 

After a restless night, you can find Gamora in the kitchen sometimes. No words are shared as she fixes you a cup of hot chocolate. You know she will listen if you want to talk about your troubles. But she never pushes you for answers and instead you both sit in comfortable silence. 

She is quick to intervene if Peter, Drax, or Rocket are teasing you relentlessly. They shut their mouths fast from Gamora’s piercing glare. She will pull you aside later to make sure you’re okay because the guys can be childish idiots. 

Groot:

You stole Groot’s Gameboy once and hid it from him. He went absolutely berserk and tied you up with his vines. He didn’t release you before you told him where you hid his precious game. Suffice to say, you didn’t touch Groot’s Gameboy again.

You teamed up with Groot to prank Peter. You distracted Peter away from his beer. While he was conversing with you, Groot deposited several packets of salt into his open bottle. Groot sent you a thumb up once he finished the job. You watched gleefully as Peter sipped his drink. Both you and Groot laughed as Peter spat his alcohol out with disgust.

Rocket:

You like to accompany Rocket sometimes when he’s making new contraptions. He’ll humor you when you ask him about the materials he’s using and what he’s making. He made you a small gadget catered to your interests, which he left in your bedroom. When you approach Rocket to express your thanks, he’s quick to shrug your appreciation off. 

Similar to Groot, Rocket will rope you into his schemes. However, Rocket’s pranks are more ruthless than Groot’s. The two of you drew on Peter’s face with a permanent marker, which he struggled to remove. On top of that, you and Rocket replaced Peter’s shampoo with bright pink hair dye. The raccoon was quick to rat you out with him, which you weren’t surprised by. Thankfully, Peter was easier on you than with Rocket, but you weren’t off without punishment.

Mantis:

You like to play with Mantis’ hair by making a ponytail braid or a half-updo. She loves the new styles and asks if you know other ways to style her hair. You’ll scavenge around for scrunches or other hair ties so she can experiment with her appearance with your help.

She is eager to play new games if you’re willing to teach her. You taught her to play games like Go Fish and Uno. You quickly found out if you play Uno, it’s better to keep Drax and Rocket from participating. They rage quit so bad that they split a table in half, which Peter was incredibly upset about. Fortunately, it’s better to play with Mantis, Gamora, Peter and Groot, which is a good player count, to make the game more fun.

I recently saw a headcanon that MCU High Evolutionary is a Elder of the Universe, and I think it makes perfect sense... the Elders are all ancient, near immortal beings that were part of the original intelligent race—and they all have a singular obsession that drives them. Sound familiar???

For the collector its imprisioning collecting any and all rare and unique lifeforms and objects...

For the Grandmaster its games and competitions...

Etc...

I don't know his comics origin save for what I've briefly read, I think it said he was a human geneticist who altered his own body and mind to godlike abilities and intelligence, but idk. But I think it would make perfect sense if his MCU version was counted amoung the elders, everything fits. His obsession is evolution and perfection.

What if the other elders don't acknowledge him because even they agree that he's rotten, idk if that would be out of character for them, for all I know they might not have any morals but I'm not too familiar with the comics.

and yes, herbert e. wyndham is an earther in the comics, but the comics are so earth-centric it's boring imo. i'd much rather read this iteration! his name doesn't feel like it really fits with most of the other elders' names (it's rather modern and terran-esque) but i think a writer could easily argue he chose a new one (especially with him being so obsessed with terran culture) or even change his name a little. (i actually don't think his name is established in the mcu so they could take it any direction they wanted)

all that said, i don't think the other elders would reject him — at least not any more than they tend to reject each other all the time. they're all a bunch of assholes with a very self-absorbed, almost fey (in the worst way) approach to morality. like, you'd probably had one or two who sneered at him extra-hard or refused to acknowledge him, but most would treat him with the same twisted, semifamilial disdain that they treat all the rest of their brethren.

excellent headcanon; i will be mulling over this for quite some time!

An MCU Rocket Raccoon Headcanon & Character Analysis #1

Bathing habits:

While the warm water feels very nice running through his fur—and is a treat he didn't have in his youth—Rocket doesn't like to spend more time in the shower than he needs to, as he doesn't particularly like seeing himself naked due to body dysmorphia. While washing himself clean, it's hard not to focus on all the parts of himself he detests—the scars and metal parts that remind him of his abuse.

On top of that, his thoughts runs wild in the quiet when he hasn't got something to occupy his mind. This is rarely a good thing and most often leads to spiralling. (He'd be terrible at meditation.) For that reason, he can't quite relax, which makes baths even worse than showers. If he could distract himself by thinking about something he plans to build, he could stand to stay a little while longer. Yet once he's put it altogether in his mind—which doesn't take long at all—then he's itching to busy his hands and actually build it rather than waste time.

We have seen Rocket grooming himself with his tongue, but I think that's more of a quick on the go thing rather than how he generally keeps himself clean. It would have started innately in his childhood and the High Evolutionary would have tried to train it out of him, but either he never quite grew out of it or it was something that came back later when there was no external pressure being put on him to stop. More than just a form of cleaning himself though, I actually think it's probably a form of stimming. A self soothing gesture he doesn't really think about doing but just happens when he's trying to wind down—to release tension and keep himself busy when he's stuck with nothing else to do.

Note: I more recently learned how to use em dashes as opposed to 10 billion commas, so I hope I've used them correctly here. I did advanced English in highschool and yet was never taught to use them. Had to do my own research later in life when I found out they weren't the same as hyphens...

Headcanon: Karaoke Night

Quill and Rocket duet karaoke together. Rocket's resistant to it at first but then he gets really into it. I imagine them just going all out on a power ballad and it moves their audience to tears

a small headcanon of mine, i guess, but there's no way in hell he isn't a boob guy. even after all the stressful things he juggles on a daily, such as spending most of his time protecting the literal galaxy, he still comes home to a sleepy you sprawled onto his bed at the end of the day that makes all of it worthwhile.

"look at these fuckin' tits," he mumbles under his breath. "missed these." he cups them gently, pressing a gentle kiss to both of them. "my pretty girl, always there for me, hm? makes my day all better."

Rocket Raccoon general HCS

ohohohoho now your talking my language *Cracks knuckles* alright, firing up.

We'll start with leisure activities, Now obviously Rocket would spend most of his time building bombs, weapons or new inventions for the team.

It's normally his number one pass time for boredom.

But then when you came to the team, he normally rolled his eyes whenever you talked about your favourite things from earth.

Until one day, you managed to bring aboard your games console when you first joined the team.

Rocket could hear the clicking of the controller when he was working, About to scold you for a bit until he saw what was on screen.

Whatever you were playing, He was intrigued by the premise of what you were playing.

After a little bit, he got off and went over to you, wanting to give it a go.

Ad after that, He's been hooked ever since, Gaming is now his new pass time alongside bomb-making.

Now for his favourite kinds of food.

Before he joined the guardians, he would have to make do with what he could get his hands on.

The biggest luxury of food was basic bread, he would always hear his stomach growl whenever he could smell it.

He would savour almost every last bit of crumb.

But when he met you, You would've brought back any form of earth food whenever you or Peter needed to make a stop there.

When you brought your bags in, you placed them into your snack drawer.

One day, the smells of said snacks peeked into his nose, Curiosity getting to him.

Deciding to sneak into your room and find the snack draw.

"Or...Ore...Oreo's ??"

He opened the packet and took a quick sniff, Smells sweet. But did it taste good ??

One bite... He was in heaven.

You then found the empty packet... More like rummaging through the snack drawer.

Finding him passed out on the floor with the empty packets.

Knocked out in a food coma.

He wasn't even sorry lol.

Marvel WHAT IF Fan-Concepts 🛸

❥ Hi you guys! So I’ve been binge watching A Marvel’s What If series! And it got me thinking, what else could the MCU try? I do wanna make more of these, so this can be considered a part one? But I hope you all enjoy, and thank you so much!

1.) WHAT IF … Rocket Raccoon landed on Earth?

This one is inspired by Vol. 3 of the GOTG franchise; which was so intense in my opinion! Don’t get me wrong I adore the Guardians—they’re one of my favorites, but I am never watching that film again… 😅

Okay anyways!! Imagine Rocket escapes High Evolutionary’s prison and enters the Earth’s atmosphere. Crashing straight into the rubble of Stark Tower! Now I can’t be sure if Rocket was a child during the early 2000s but that’s what the internet says lol. So we’re just gonna go with that; he crashes into the ground & is found by Shield or just the Avengers.

I like to think he would soon join them soon after because not only is he so adorable & fuzzy, but he needs good friends!!

Plus it would also be cool to see him as the Avengers’ mechanic! Fixing up gadgets or helping design all sorts of defense mechanisms. He could even be in charge of fixing up all their vehicles too; think the car guy in movies who always complains when his vehicles get scratched up.

Rocket would definitely have a rivalry with Tony just because he believes he’s smarter. I like to think they’d do passion projects together too. This version of Rocket would definitely be much warmer & friendlier compared to his original counterpart. He’s still buddies with Thor though, that is a must!

2.) WHAT IF … Magneto joined the X-Men?

Okay the XMen is my absolute favorite Marvel team so I was REALLY excited for this idea!! In this version of the XMen, Magneto joined Charles Xavier from the beginning to form the team & the school. He’d probably be some kind of guidance counselor or maybe the Language Arts teacher? A good-version of Eric just feels like this lol.

I feel him & Storm would have good chemistry together since they’re both gentle yet powerful people. Plus they’d totally do gardening together, it’s just too good. Erick would butt heads with Logan though, at least for a little bit. But I like to think Erick would also handle counseling for the team.

But—since Magneto isn’t in charge of the Brotherhood in this version, I like to imagine Mystique would end up taking over his role. Her version of the Mutant Brotherhood (or I guess Sisterhood?) would rely a lot more of stealth & act as some kind of spy organization. Taking over government plans, infiltrating agencies, etc etc.

Magneto & the Professor would work side by side as teammates; but it would be cool if Mystique used to be one of their old students in the past! Maybe Erick had a deeper connection with her at some point, but she started to pull away when she couldn’t get what she wanted.

3.) WHAT IF … Loki was Odin’s firstborn?

I feel like this one specifically is a common topic among fans, or at least one I’ve heard about pretty often? Loki being Odin’s first heir to the throne could leave some interesting changes to his personality. He’d still be mischievous & maybe a little bit pompous?

But I feel he could have a lot of room for improvement, the same way Thor went through his journey in the first film. A good-version of Loki would probably be someone who learns to lead with empathy.

Compared to Thor, who originally wanted to lead Asgard with power against his enemies, Loki would lead with a prideful self confidence. Even against his own people; he expects other to follow him simply because he is royalty. Think of it as an MCU version of ‘The Emperor’s New Groove’ lol. But the longer he spend time on Earth, the more he realizes that people need to earn respect.

As for Thor’s role in this version, I can’t really picture as a villain?? Or at least a super evil one, but I imagine since he would be the one growing up outside of the limelight, he’d be more boastful & even a bit careless. Someone strong who believes he is far more worthy than others. But let me know if you guys have any ideas, because this one was a little tough.

GOTG 3 SPOILERS AHEAD !!!

Throughout gotg3, there are mutliple scenes in which Rocket is the one controling the music. Not Quill, like usual. And on the surface that has an easy explanation. Quill passing the mantle of captain to Rocket. (Especially with that beautiful poster of Quill literally handing Rocket the 'awesome mix vol.3')

Buuut I have a lil headcanon about that I'd like to share.

The High Evolutionary was fascinated by music. Earth's music. Specifically that spooky latin opera (at least, I think that's what it was, feel free to correct me). Rocket grew up with that music. It was the only kind he ever heard.

And after he escaped, Rocket refused to listen to music. No matter the genre, he wouldn't even give it a chance. Because just the thought of music would bring back those memories. Then, years later he meets Quill, who's entire personality practically revolves around his love for music. From this, Rocket realises that music can be so much more than the slow, mournful sounds of his childhood. And as the guardians grow closer, music becomes a carrier of many happy memories for Rocket. To the point where finally, he is the one controlling the music.
