Alone Together
Well, we were right about Albert’s new woman being Buck’s ex, ...
... just a different ex.
Ugh, this is frustrating, but looks like the episode title of “Breaking Point” has nothing to do with Buddie, so I don’t think that we’re getting a canon Buddie cliffhanger at the end like some of us were hoping for, although, Taylor always does = jealous Eddie.
That being said, they do continue to give us things straight out of fan fiction (Buck and Eddie catching a turkey in slow motion, Bobby in a dumpster, David being roped in to a Hitchcock plot by Athena’s actual-buddy husbands, that resulting in whump for smart man, Michael, and Athena being a boss, Chimney and Maddie successfully attempting to be too perfect, and Denny and Nia’s cuteness bringing levity to drama in Hen and Karen’s lives? Come on and thank you.), so I still have all of the faith that we are getting canon Buddie eventually.

David found out that Michael and Bobby share one singular braincell and promptly left his braincell sitting on the table.
It's the crime fighting trio that I never thought I needed but I absolutely love.
Also, the drama with Hen and her mom is so delicious. And we got some good quality Karen screentime and she's even more beautiful than I remembered 😍

I’m so late on replying to this (week has been bumpy af)
The lack of braincells!!! Bobby dumped his almost immediately when Michael showed him Slim! And David gave one idea and whoop! There goes his braincell.
The three of them teaming up was everything! Never thought that would be a trio I’d love but it was excellent! Michael slowly sucking them into the drama of what’s happening across the street, Bobby just going right into the dumpster and losing his phone, and David still trying to hang onto his braincell and then dropping it the moment he sees the bloody rags! If I ever write the podcast fic, those three are going to be featured.
*chef’s kiss* I loved the Hen focus in this episode! Toni was a lot and that drama was good. The car scene at the end...good stuff. AND YES KAREN! Oh my gosh, Karen!!!! Karen!!!!! Karen!!!! *swoons*
And we get Karen next week and I’m gonna get my heart broken over Nia.

A little announcement:
@shipsintthenight, you’re not the first one who’s suggested that some one should turn this well-received head!canon in to an actual fan fiction, (and I should have done this much sooner), but I do fully support some one else writing it as I can’t see myself taking on such an endeavour by myself in the near future. The author just better link me to it if it ever gets written so I can enjoy the monster that I will have created!😉
Bonus points if: Bobby’s knowing soothing is partly why Athena has no qualms about how quickly David moved in with Michael (and partly just because Athena Grant-Nash has a notoriously impeccable character meter and David is a good guy).😏
I haven’t made a video in years, ...
... but that last episode has me wanting to fix that, and finally pop my “9-1-1” music video cherry. It helps that I already had “Bloom” by The Paper Kites in my MP3 collection before the episode aired and have every episode backed up on an external hard drive in 1080p as the files are released for GIFing purposes.
Having the lyrics “The world is sleeping, but my world is you” over Eddie and Christopher asleep👀 on Christopher’s bed (and Michael and David being ready-made husbands, Chimney finally reuniting with Maddie to be there for the rest of her pregnancy, and Nia and Karen boosting Hen up in preparation for med school - I’m assuming that Denny was just in a different room in the house at the moment) with that leading in to Buck admitting to his therapist that he does “hide [his] true feelings from others”👀 is proof that this show’s music department is doing its job to make fans fanatical.
Like to make me do it ...
Athena Grant-Nash:
Worries about her ex-husband’s boyfriend.
There is no higher level.
