Thoughts on One Piece Live Action
I am a person who was completely horrified at the idea of a live action One Piece. How could they possibly adapt one of (in my opinion) the least adaptable manga/anime ever? Zoro’s three sword style alone would have been hard enough, let alone the myriad other powers and distinctive styles of One Piece to deal with. We all know how “well” they tend to adapt other anime, or even a lot of comics or cartoons, to live action versions. I was absolutely certain it was going to suck! However, the casting photos and the trailer peaked my curiosity, so I decided to watch it. I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! It wasn’t perfect by any means, as they changed or took out quite a few things I loved from canon, but I feel that it was honestly quite respectful to the source material and that the cast had real love for it. It actually made me want to reread some of the manga or rewatch some of the anime. I greatly recommend it, and I hope it gets another season! 😊👍🏻

Hey that's no mini! WIP.
Have been meaning to make a reference bust for myself for a long time, was bored, and was flipping through Imaginative Realism by James Gurney again.
This little guy needs eyesocket fill in. Very happy with him for an hour and a half or so. Water caste from the Great Adaptation, no specific character. I want to spend some extra attention to the musculature on the back of the head and crest, but for a random session, super happy with that.
Off to the races.
