The muscles cannot breakdown anabolically (grow), without enough rest time for them to recover/rebuild. #science .. There is a difference between "working out" and "training." Dont get I wrong, #crossfit is NOT easy (a great workout exluding f#€ked up form which increases chance of injury significantly), however your training methods must be in harmony to your desired outcome. If your goal is explosiveness, train explosively. If your goal is to increase limit strength, lift heavy sh!t. If you are training for a marathon, improve your endurance. A crossfitter may be stronger than a marathon runner, but he wont have as much endurance. In the same respect, a crossfitter may have more endurance than a powerlifter/bodybuilder, but wont have nearly as much limit strength/aesthetics.
