Spoon with a large bowl that I carved from some hazel I found just outside Wivenhoe, Essex.
Palaeolithic Hand Tools, St Acheul, France and Hoxne, England, Manchester Museum
Put together the frame for the coat rack. Used some cherry and some very simple hand cut dovetails. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
The finish is still drying but it's complete.

I've been teaching myself hand tool woodworking in an effort to really improve my skills. So I made this keepsake box for a dear friend. I visited her last weekend and had the best time ever.
I didn't use any power tools or fasteners. Just wood, glue, finish. It is made out of white oak and walnut for the little carved handle in the tray part. Cutting dovetails is challenging but very fun. It's nice to reconnect with the parts of making stuff that I really enjoy and finding new things to get excited about.

WD-40
50 grit sandpaper
Linseed oil
Beeswax
If anyone knows any other rust-off methods let me know
