Coffee-rubbed #venison steak, herb roasted #yukongoldpotatoes, and sautéed #haricotverts with grape tomatoes. Things I did: that! 😉

Tonight's meal. Ribeye steak w/ haricot verts! Let's do this. Seasoned room temperature steak with salt/pepper/paprika. Set aside. Heated up cast iron pan. Dropped in some butter & olive oil. Let sizzle up. Dropped in steak & let sear on each side for a couple of minutes each. Added more butter/garlic cloves/rosemary/thyme. Basted for a few seconds. Then put pan into a 450 degree pre-heated oven for 7-8 minutes. Meanwhile, put some butter/white wine in a pot. Dropped in haricot vert. Seasoned with salt/pepper/bacon salt/crushed red pepper flakes. Mixed in & covered pot. Let simmer a bit. Added shaved parmesan & re-covered pot. Put shredded gruyere and raclette on stick-proof foil and put in toaster oven. Removed steak from oven & let rest for a few minutes. Sliced up & served (to myself!). Perfect medium rare! Plated green beans. Took melted cheese out of toaster oven & let it slide onto the steak. CHOWED DOWN!! Verdict: Fucking delicious. I still havent mastered cooking a steak in a pan so doing the sear and then oven thing really helped.
