I just read a post about the hate mail Hermione got in GoF after Skeeter’s article about her and Harry being a couple, and I just??? Why isn’t it talked about more? She was a kid? 14? 14??!! And it wasn’t harmless “I hate yous.” It was poisonous, dangerous stuff?? What did people think, Harry would date like a wizarding world equivalent of a Kardashian?? Why does it even matter??? And I’m sitting here disgusted at the wizarding world. And you know why it happened?

Was it because she was a muggle-born? Definitely.
