Society

"The world is cruel and so are people. People need to change and rearrange the rules.

If someone had a gun to their head we would instanly think they were dead.

We make things up to cope in ways that make us think we are the ones they're targeting.

If someone told us to drink something we would start gargling it down. But that would only make us frown.

People think society is great but really its all just hate."

Killing Men - ishani

Men -  what a poor excuse for humanity. Men - who do the bare minimum in being anti misogynistic and don’t feed into toxic masculinity. Men. Even the word makes my blood boil and my heart burn.  But why are they so attractive?

I’m getting myself distracted now, but men  are idiotic. They tell me my words  are womanly because I  write about love and emotions. So Tyler Kent White or T.S Eliot  have to be immune to love and  feelings of emotion to be a great poet? And they tell me women are wired to  believe they need men to be happy -  but I’d rather be alone then in the company  of a man. I’d rather be alone then hear the words  “I love you” to spill out the lips of a man. 

I sometimes say I want to kill men,  but you and I both know that is a lie,  but holy mother of god -  don’t they make you wish to die? 

Maybe It’s mean when I say all  men suck - or maybe they believe it  too - but once again I’d rather be alone then be with you.

Beneath our Hell

When we are young

we entertain several

foolish ideas

love is one.

We forget and remember

and forget and remember

over and over again

who we are

and why we are here.

Are we any better than the ants

that exist beneath our hell?

Hate Poem

Not the best year

But I’m still here

Just keeping it real

This is how I feel

Not into fake

I’m just awake

Tired of you

Sure you are too

So take your pick

Don’t be a dick

i used to want to be your friend

you made me feel bad for you.

you saw my empathy and twisted it

into something

you could take advantage of.

sharp words with double meanings

coming back to stab me again and again

you played naive

you played victim

and even now

months later

your words come back to lash at my heart

tearing across my skin

and now all i feel towards you is anger

Sometimes I Think About How You Could Have Loved Me and I Laugh Until The Tears Stop Flowing

you said if you wanted a pet you’d adopt a dog

and i pretended i was ok with being left on the porch all night

you said if you wanted help you’d get a therapist

and i pretended i didn’t mind driving in circles for hours as you vomited your fears and worries

you said she’s perfect she’s beautiful she’s gorgeous

and i pretended not to cover my mirrors so i didn’t have to see this body

you said no one really got you like i did

and i pretended that all those poems weren’t about you

you said a lot of lies

and i pretended to believe them

but sometimes

i think about how you could have loved me

if you weren’t always fantasizing about her body

and i laugh until the tears stop flowing

because i could be your mother friend therapist priest

but i could never have been your lover.
