Ok. So. Taub and House. Haub. Hear me out:

I'm mostly a Hilson/Huddy/Hudson kind of guy. EXCEPT for during one particular arc. (SPOILERS for season 4 BELOW)

At the end of s4/the beginning of s5, when House and Wilson break up following Amber's death, and House hires Lucas to stalk Wilson like a jealous ex.

In my minds fanfiction version of House MD, he totally turned to Taub as a 'rebound' when he realized Wilson fully intended on moving on from him.

Do I have any evidence for this in canon? No. Besides the fact I think House and Taub would kind of naturally come together considering the turbulence in both of their personal lives during that time. Long term I don't think it'd work and prefer Hilson/Taubman, but for that brief period where Wilson leaves House's life?

I'll probably have more to say whenever I rewatch s4/s5. I remember having stronger feelings on House and Taub in the moment but my memory is shit.

Also, I like Taub. I want him to be with House and I want it to be very temporary with messy emotional conflict involved.
