Let’s recap, so we have The Gilded Blade on 7/14/26, both Escape Me and The Mirror of Infinite Endings on 9/29/26, ACOTAR #6 on 10/27/26, Lightlark #5 sometime during autumn 2026, and ACOTAR #7 on 1/12/27.
I have to say, this is a pretty good year.

Another Bad Girl; Jiroko.
BATTLE THEME
Never could settle on her story or design, but simply put, she’s an assassin-for-hire jellyfish girl with dangerous tentacles, rainbow lasers, camouflage abilities, experience in multiple weapon types, and the lack of empathy.
She competes with Lokard for “Biggest A-Hole” of all my characters. Honestly, if they find themselves in the same story again, I may have to write them as total bros.
Something triggered my memory of this character I designed for Heartblade a while back. While I haven’t revealed it until now, she was intended to be the new main antagonist, and if I remember correctly, her name was Nera. While Heartblade itself is canned, there’s a lot of characters, creatures, and concepts I wanna keep around, including her.
She’s (one of) the last of an ancient race of people, a powerful Golemancer, and a compulsive artifact collector. Stricken with a nasty disease, she uses her golem minions to turn peaceful settlements upside-down, looking for a remedy for her ailment.
Some of her golem minions include familiar faces, like Regalia, Bullirag, Stiletto, Jasper, and many others.
75 Razputin Aquato - Psychonauts
Raz is the main character of Psychonauts, and an intrepid little guy. At ten years old he masters all his psychic training in less than a week! I love his quirks and his running commentary. He’s going to make a killer psychonaut!
12 Qui Gon Jinn - Star Wars
Before the Star Wars prequels became so reviled among fans, I was a middle-school girl absolutely in love with Qui Gon Jinn. I’m not sure if it’s his cool-dad relationship with Obi Wan or the fact that he was Liam Neeson in a crepe beard, but I was all-in for Master Qui Gon from his first appearance on.
So first of all, I should announce that both Heartblade and Dungeon Tale have been officially cancelled. I’ve tried for too long to revive Heartblade, and have gone through too many re-writes, that it’s just a big mess. I still want to keep all of the lovely characters and concepts to be used for other projects, though. Dungeon Tale has lost its substance since Mydhilde came in and absorbed all of the major mechanics and concepts; plus, it was a joint project with a friend I don’t collaborate with anymore.
With those two being the last projects Dinx had a role in, this left her without a home. So, I took a bold move and decided to “rebrand” her. In this new form, she takes on a role more like a “mascot” character, where she doesn’t rely on having a specific project(s) to be a part of.
She still has her own story, though!
Dinx is an interdimensional being capable of freely passing through time and space, interacting with numerous universes and co-existing realities. Simply put, Dinx has the ability to be a presence in any of my games or stories, or even exist in her own stories. She’s not the only one with this ability, as she comes from a group of beings just like herself.
Her job is to travel between realities to keep check on multiversal influences, making sure that universes stay stable and that no Interlopers disrupt the peace or bring foreign technology. This job may be full-time, but these events scarcely happen, leaving Dinx with some free time to do her own thing.
Her powers also consist of being able to alter her form, so that she prevents appearing out-of-place when visiting people in different universes.
I’m not sure if I want to write much more for her own story, but for the time being, Dinx can continue to exist in this manner.
While I was feeling icky, unmotivated, and just wanted to draw something cute, John prompted me to draw some Regalia.
So recently, out of the blue, I designed a new fighter class for Heartblade, and now I’m reconsidering all of my other fighter classes in Heartblade.
Behold the Cuisinier class, a combination of chef and paladin. He carries a giant wok on his back, which kindles his fire spells and doubles as a mighty shield. He fights with giant cutlery and his every swing intends to slice something in half. Also he’ll probably throw garlic powder in your face, so watch out, holy heck.
