Watching the wave of people currently hating on Max is pretty funny because it’s like whenever he makes a mistake they crawl out of the woodwork to try to use this as evidence in their “see, he’s not perfect!” argument. When one of the top comments on a compilation video of him saving the car from a spin is, “Max is the only driver who gets applauded for his mistakes,” it’s like watching a toddler trying to learn to walk.
Like yes, honey, keep going, you’re almost there! You’ve almost made the connection! He’s getting applauded for his “mistakes” because when he makes them he somehow still is able to demonstrate just how much skill he has through his innate sense for the car. You’ve almost figured out the point, that he’s the only driver getting compilations made of his recovery from mistakes because most other drivers don’t recover, they’re either in the wall or facing backwards.
