Mammon Did No Wrong

Since our King's birthday (Oct. 29th) is coming up in a few days, I decided to rewatch his debut and in doing so, I came to the conclusion that I would be the person to set the record straight;

Mammon is not the villain of this episode, and is the only character in it I feel proper sympathy for, and so should you. Below is my comprehensive tear down of the most common arguments people make against Mam in this episode.

"He gave Fizz self worth issues"

We see Fizz struggling with self worth issues before Mammon even knew who he was, the imp had issues before he ever set foot on Mam's stage, he just ended up tying these issues to Mammon. This all being aside from the fact that Fizz's mental health is not Mammon's responsibility.

"He fat-shamed Fizz"

All Mam does is tell Fizz he's gained weight and that that's something that would be bad for sales. He takes no issue with Fizz's figure, he just points out the fact that their customers prefer a skinny idol. As a media personality (which I think best describes Fizz's position), Fizz has the responsibility of maintaining a public image because, put simply, his public image is his job. Also, as all of Fizz's limbs are prosthetics, he would have to go out of his way to maintain a tight waist more than the average person/demon, so reminding him to keep an eye on it actually makes practical sense.

"He forced Fizz to do a meet-n-greet when he was very anxious"

This one is actually a correct statement, too bad it's irrelevant to whether Mammon is a bad guy or not. The people in line already paid for the meet-n-greet. Fizz (as the featured personality) and Mammon (as the organizer of the event) had an obligation to do the damn thing. Yes, Fizz was anxious at the time, but being anxious is not an excuse to shirk a responsibility he accepted by showing up to the pageant in the first place. And in this case, Mam goes out of his way to accommodate him by hearing him out and having Glitz and Glam go on before him.

"He crashed out when Fizz quit"

WHO FUCKING WOULDN'T? His star employee just went out of his way to quit in the most antagonistic, insulting, petulant, unprofessional and all around pointless way possible in front of a massive audience despite Mam going out of his way to give him a chance to collect himself, all for no real reason beyond being a petty asshole. Also, no one ever points this out, but Mam was left on his own to appease the audience while Fizz and Ozzie had their crappy ballad in the dressing room, so he was even more accommodating. I'm not dignifying this one any more than I already have.

--In Summary--

Mammon's only crimes in this episode are being a low-empathy and eccentric, but ultimately reasonable authority figure dealing with an entitled, ungrateful asswipe. Quite aside from the uncomfortable implications of his "evil" in this episode basically just being the symptoms displayed by a low-empathy autistic person, his actions are completely reasonable and in some cases even more considerate than most people would be in his position and while dealing with someone like Fizz (I know I wouldn't be as willing to level with the stick of imp jerky).

Mammon did no wrong is my final position.

What you didn’t notice in helluva - ozzie’s stamp

So every deadly sin has his own stamp, right. Here are mammon’s and ozzie’s:

During Fizzarolli’s „two minute’s notice”, he has mammon’s stamp in the background. OR SO I THOUGHT. Because i watch helluva boss like a crazy person i have a sixth sense when it comes to shit like this.

For most performance fizz has mammon’s stamp in the background:

Which is either green or purple. However, when asmodeus enters the scene to give fizz his torch the stamp disappears:

And when he gives him the torch WE HAVE THE STAMP OF ASMODEUS IN THE BACKGROUND, NOT MAMMON’S:

This stamp is GOLD. Here we can see by color meaning, that while purple and green represents mammon in this scene, fire and gold stands for asmodeus. When he disappears behind the curtains we’re back to the mammon’s stamp:

However, just when fizz oficially quits his job, and mammon wants to hurt him, he looks up (and i kinda wondered why, that’s how i discovered this):

Q: What is Swap Hellaverse AU? A: Swap Hellaverse AU is an AU created by @my-name-is-bunnyfoxy (a.k.a me lol) based off of the popular shows Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss created by Viviene Medrano/Vivziepop. In short, an AU where character roles are swapped with one and other and while the AU does follow a similar story to that of the original shows, there are a few parts that are rewritten to fit my AU and to make it make sense.

Q: What is Geulah Hotel and Helluva Jester? A: Geulah Hotel is the swap AU for Hazbin Hotel. While Helluva Jester is the swap AU for Helluva Boss.

Q: What's the plot for Geulah Hotel? A: In hopes of saving his brothers and sisters and to help accomplish his mothers' dreams, Abel, the son of Adam and Eve, sets out on a quest to find out how a soul can be redeemed. To do this, he opens up the Geulah Hotel. With the help of his girlfriend Emily, the demon overlord Voxtech and the residents, later friends (Molly, Crymini, Cherri Bomb, Valentino, Nifty), Abel hopes to make his dreams come true. But unfortunately for him, no one has told him how exactly hard this his goal would be. Especially when he is being threatened by a powerful Seraphim...

Q: What's the plot for Helluva Jester? A: Fizz once worked in a circus ever since he could walk. But after a terrible accident which caused him to lose his limbs and left him scarred for life, he decides to abandon his past and starts a new life of his own. Creating an assassin business with his best friends Striker and Verosika and beloved daughter Pinkney. Together, they are hired by different sinners to take out a target in the living world. But in order to get on Earth, instead of using an asmodean crystal, Fizz ends up stealing the grimoire from Asmodeus, the sin of lust, which leads to an unexpected turn of events where Fizz finds himself in a strange relationship with Asmodeus, not having any clue what the kind of lust's older brother king of greed has planned against them.

Q: What should we expect from this blog? A: Well, obviously I'm gonna be posting about this AU. I will be posting stuff such as characters designs, facts, drawings, possible redraws from the actual show and potential comics.

Q: Will you write a fanfic- A: Hell nah my writing is worser than Viv's.
