Loona the object

I didn't notice until I was rewatching it the other day, but here we have an example of, for lack of a better word, a micro aggression against Loona as a hellhound.

Millie insinuates that Loona is Blitz's possession and an object. Loona tried to correct it, but Blitz had to go and interrupt.

So ready to stick his neck out for his kid, misses the mark entirely. He jumps to defend her position as someone in his life, rather than her position as a person.

No wonder Loona is annoyed all the time!

The little remarks of hate she must face regularly from people Blitz calls his friends, and potentially from Blitz himself, must wear at her constantly. I include Blitz in this because having grown up with subconscious biases, I don't doubt he occasionally slips up as well.

It's not just because she's an angsty, rebellious, goth that she refuses to acknowledge Blitz's position as father figure, or consider Moxxie and Millie friends. There is a lot of depth and conflicting emotion and I feel for her so much.

When people who tell you they love you disrespect you, constantly, even on accident, it cuts deep.

The conversation at this point moves on, and Loona does the only thing she can do. She copes with it.

Subconscious bias a bitch.

Title: Queen Bee's Hellish Party

In the hazy neon glow of IMP headquarters, a high-pitched trill sounded from BlitzØ's communicator. His infernal red eyes flicked to the screen where Queen Bee's confident grin appeared. BlitzØ gulped. Queen Bee, the most renowned hellhound and social butterfly in Hell, never called without a reason.

"BlitzØ, darling," she howled, her voice a smoky mix of command and allure. "I'm throwing a shindig at my estate this Saturday, and I want you and your motley crew to be there. It will be the party of the millennium."

BlitzØ, frozen for a moment, finally replied with a casual grin, "Sure, Queen Bee, we'll be there. Wouldn't miss it for the world."

As he ended the call, he found himself under the scrutinizing gaze of his team. Moxxie had a dubious look on his face, Loona was already excited about the possibility of seeing the pack, while Millie was giddy with anticipation. Even Stolas, who had been eavesdropping from the corner, seemed intrigued.

"Looks like we're going to a party," BlitzØ announced, his voice filled with faux enthusiasm.

There was a chorus of responses. Moxxie groaned, Loona smirked, Millie clapped her hands excitedly, and Stolas preened. No one knew what Queen Bee had in store, but one thing was certain - the party was going to be one hell of a blast.
