Looking for help/advice regarding motivation(?) for university!
Since I've started uni, and before, I've struggled with keeping up with schoolwork. It's difficult really to pinpoint why, but I think it typically starts off with missing a class or realizing the workload is too much and telling myself I can find a way around doing it. Except then I fall even more behind in classes because I never end up doing the work. I think I try to sit down and focus on doing it, but end up getting distracted, or my brain decides I can't read at the moment, or I'm too tired, or a multitude of other excuses that leave me with unfinished work.
I'm good with completing projects that are due though. Those are more structured and the guidelines are more clear on what I have to do. Maybe that's it? I am faced with an overwhelming amount of information and just see how much work I'll have to put into it without a certain method of executing it and just decide to stop before I can start? So maybe setting up check-ins with professors or TAs or school psychologists might help?
Let me know if you have any suggestions or have gone through something similar! It's really frustrating feeling like I'm consistently going to fail, trying to spark hope up again and then repeating the same mistakes the following semester. Thanks!
oh also I have ADHD inattentive type
