My Daddy and my horse Dolly 🐴👨🏻 Two favorites that are no longer with us 😢 After my dad passed away in 2015 - I was 25 years old. I had just moved permanently to New York City, and started acting school 3 weeks prior. His death wasn’t what you’d call “unexpected” but it still shook me deeper than I anticipated. I was all alone. I wanted to give up almost every day for the whole year that followed and just not carry on. It was the hardest year of my life. The only thing that got me through was all the self-exploration work I had to go as part of my acting degree and regularly therapy sessions. I emerged from this experience stronger than I was before it. Almost exactly a year later I met the man who would become my husband and my life started to change for ever. Who knows what would have happened if I didn’t receive help when I needed it most. Mental Health is so important to my 💗 So many people are in a similar situation and desperately need help. Come support MENTAL HEALTH AMERICA with me this weekend. Our goal is to donate $30,000 (or more) to the cause! If you can’t donate financially - that’s ok! There are free ways you can make a difference. Can I count on you to help me make a change? ❤️ • • • • • #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthamerica #helpraiseawareness #fundraiserevent #peopleinneed #giveback (at Fayetteville, Arkansas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWMJNf4PNZ4/?utm_medium=tumblr
