No but like imagine that before Alec even met Jace that he had like a different best friend. Lets call her Lily or something. And Alec wanted her to be his parabati because they've been friends since they were babies. But what if when Lily went to get her first mark that it hurt her so bad, that she couldn't because she wasn't strong enough that her parents ashamed of their daughter left her in the woods to die. And now imagine Alec finding her and saving her. Imagine Alec hiding her in his trunk and taking her from Idris. Imagine Lily hiding in the institute.
Imagine Lily helped Alec out with his sexuality and Alec helped Lily. Imagine that neither of them really liked the oppoistite sex and Lily helped Alec be okay with that. And when Jace became Alec's parabati, Lily couldn't imagine anyone better. Because she may not have met him but she's knows he's a good fighter.
Imagine the attacts on the institute and Alec having to smuggle Lily out. Or Lily having to hide or even better, Lily kicking ass because she may not have her marks but she is a SHADOWHUNTER.
Lily being Alec's other sister.
When it's starting to get really bad, Alec makes Lily leave. He helps her find an apartment somewhere in New York City or Chicago LA. Maybe Lily gets her GED and makes Alec get his aswell. Imagine Lily going to NYU and making Alec sign up with her.
Imagine Alec fighting a war and doing college classes. Imagine Alec and Lily at a coffee shop, laughing and joking and flirting with eachother for fun. Imagine after Alec and Magnus breakup, Alec doesn't go back to the institute, but goes to Lily's. Imagine Izzy and Jace freaking out because they can't find Alec. Imagine Izzy breaking down Magnus' door and Jace demanding to know where Alec is. Magnus doesn't know, and now he's kindof worried.
So Magnus does a tracking spell and portals them to were Alec is. What they find is a warehouse type apartment loft thing. The walls are brick. There's clothes everywhere. Mens, womens. Chipped coffee cups on the counter, half empty. Music playing heavily in the background. They hear a laugh.
Alec's laugh. They move forward and they see Lily and Alec dancing slow in the middle of the room. The music they're listening to (chillstep) isn't ment for slow dancing but they make it so it is.
Imagine Jace, Izzy and Magnus confused. Imagine the music stops and Jace clapping his hands, "I didn't know you could dance." He tells Alec. Who looks startled, then confused then terrified. Lily gasps and the front door is opening. They all turn to look and see a whole bunch of other people. Alec and Lily's friends from college.
"Did we just walk in on something?" Peter asks while pushing his glasses up his nose. They make their way into the room. Marni sitting down on the couch, Peter next to her. Wren looking at Alec in a way that Magnus doesn't like before sinking into the couch next to Marni.
