#hidden characters

I was reading the last couple pages of the Legend of Korra turf wars comic and there’s like this big event happening with lots of background characters. I like to give comic panels a really good look ‘cos it’s nice to appreciate the effort it took to create all the art.... and I started to notice some things... some Easter eggs if you will. I tried finding posts online about it but couldn’t seem to see anything so I thought I might as well share it ‘cos I’m absolutely ecstatic.

So first we got the sages from naruto??? Hello... tsunade? Jiraya? Orichimaru??

Next up we got sailor Neptune, sailor Pluto and sailor Uranus???

Who’s that little silhouette off in the middle there? Looks like a familiar hairstyle hmmm

Yep!! The rest of the sailor senshis are here too!

And look who’s right beside them?? Ryo and akira???

We’re not done yet! More form the naruto universe! Haku and zabuza!

And finally from what I managed to notice, we have street fighter?? (I think)

This is all I managed to find, but I’m sure there are more... this was so fun to notice

It's probably unreliable, but Dual Shockers' forum's claimed that there are hidden playable characters in STRIVE that can be unlocked depending on which mode you play on and your performance. Do you think that there's anything credible to this?

That’s probably a miscommunication about Strive’s Arcade Mode.

What we currently know about Arcade Mode is that additional characters will jump in and assist you if you’re having a hard time against certain opponents.

Now, while the OPPORUNITY to unlock hidden characters could “present itself”, we currently have no reason to expect any hidden characters besides the 15 that were announced.

The last time hidden characters were “kept hidden” was technically GG2 Overture, and only because Raven was already revealed in the game’s story.

The same could’ve also been said of Sin Kiske and Elphelt who were DLC for GGXrd Sign.... however, even Leo Whitefang’s debut was pretty transparent and on the level in terms of how he was announced.

If any characters were “vaguely announced” they were Bedman and Kum Haehyun, but they appeared in plenty of game trailers so it’s not like we didn’t expect them to show up.

Still, we don’t know what the final build of the game will look like yet, so the possibility still exists that we could get surprised by a 16th, 17th, or 18th hidden character.

I say this because, the “original Guilty Gear” while they made no efforts to hide the boss characters Testament and Justice, they weren’t exactly transparent about them either.

And Baiken was COMPLETELY off the record, having no reveal at all, other than “hey there’s this button code or way of beating the game you should try....” tipped off to game magazine editors at the time.

Anyway, I wouldn’t expect much, but I wouldn’t necessarily expect nothing.

HEY GUYS! Just wanted to let you guys know, I have a gaming channel now, which I launched about a week or so ago. Since I play video games all night on my free time, I figured... why not record my gameplay and stream it?

So, I started digging around for Color Mod tutorials for uMod on Steam, and came across the Unused Palettes from Xrd Sign courtesy of Friedslick6 over at Nexus Mods.

Gold Colors were pretty obviously used as Boss versions of characters in both Survival and Mission Modes in older Guilty Gear games, that much I get.

Darkside Colors (also in this case Elphelt Valentine’s boss form) were also pretty common for having Full Tension as trash characters throughout Survival Mode.

But the mystery is the THIRD unused color set... which I think I’ll dub “Chaos Bedman” (after Happy Chaos)... is it a color exclusive to Bedman?

We’ve been told throughout Story Mode that Bedman has only thus far used 8% percent of his power... so is this some form of Nightmare super-powered version?

(Oh, and by the way, this Gold Color is different from the DLC ones we got in Revelator, as there’s a unique glow effect on the weapon, suggesting it’s legit power behind this color!)

You're probably gonna just direct me to a link immediately, but can you please brief me up to speed on who Happy Chaos is? Where did this person come from and why?

Happy Chaos was first “hinted at” during Raven’s Arcade Episode in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 as part of Jack-O’s motivation for cruelly revealing “the truth” to I-No.  This, in order to get I-No to “awaken before Happy Chaos does”.

Raven, at first, marvels at the possibility that “That Man” (Asuka R. Kreutz) planned a backup plan in case Sol failed to stop Justice from being revived, but is hesitant to call Jack-O’s plan ‘wise’.  (A Backup-plan suggesting that Happy Chaos would defeat Justice in place of Sol.)Jack-O’ brings Happy Chaos up in conversation as not having “awakened yet”, but Raven suggests that even if it seemed ‘wise’ at the time to make I-No aware of her true nature (suggesting I-No and Happy Chaos are somehow connected), it may not be enough to prevent an incident from unfolding later on (as it failed to prevent I-No from staying with them as a group).

As it turns out, ‘she’ was listening to their conversation “fully awake” the whole time and decided to take the name “Happy Chaos” for herself as a result!

Of what this dark omen portends is currently anyone’s guess, but we can be certain she is a ‘like-existence’ to Jack-O’… which means she is a synthetic fragment of Aria, however twisted she may be, making her a candidate for becoming Justice like the other Valentines.

These events took place shortly after Jack-O’ was retrieved by Sol, so a while later Jack-O’ merged with Justice to become the “new Aria”, so while those events unfolded as planned, Happy Chaos appears to be able to roam as she pleases (or at least escape the Sanctuary), though we do not know her end goal or if she has any sort of goal except destruction and chaos.

Then again, she may also be a part of Asuka’s plans later on… it’s hard to be sure at this point!
