HIIT Workout
7.25.2022.
Post workout smoothie! As much as I would've liked to finish this workout in it's entirety, I just couldn't. I figure some is better than none, and I'll try again for a longer workout tomorrow. 25 minutes of this combat workout was still enough for a sweat.
Day 239 Gymless: Shoulders and Abs
This afternoon, I did a 30 minute HIIT run to the lake and walked back for my cool down. It was a tough run but the weather was perfect. Then I jumped into my at-home workout.
3 sets:
10 Lateral to front raises
10 seated shoulder presses
10 Bent over rear lateral raises
10 plank pull-through
12 oblique crunches
20 thread the needle w weight
Whenever I’m struggling mentally a workout is like a quick therapy session. I always feel better when I’m done!
Mentally and Physically Tired
1st, recognize there are two types of fatigue .. physical and mental.
Physical fatigue does nothing to affect mental stamina.
Mental fatigue will drain you mental and physical stamina.
To replenish your mental stamina, so that you can work out, meditate for 30 mins. Aka, do nothing, think nothing.
Mental activities can be very taxing .. causing Mental Fatigue.
2ndly, put one foot in front of the other, and walk to the gym. Its that hard some days.
If you can get to the gym, use it as your sanctuary. Your place to recharge, renew, and reconnect with yourself.
Take all the issues creating mental strain and push through them with the weights.
If something is pulling at you, row.
If something is pushing you, bench.
If something is weighing you down, squat.
If you feel like you’re falling, do pull ups.
If something is slowing you down, do hiit training.
If something is going to fast, do a very slow, intense, set of reps.
If you feel you,ve been punched in the gut, work your core.
And, so on.
It’s the changing leaves for me 🍁🍂
