I love the idea of Wonder Woman adopting random people as her siblings, and Hippolyta needing to deal with it. Like, she basically did it with Donna (in some backstories, she’s had a lot of variations) and Cassie

(note that this is more fanon than canon, I definitely need to read more Wonder Woman comics)

Hippolyta: Honey… you know you have to talk to me before bringing any men or boys here

Diana: But he has the title of “The Boy Wonder,” like how I have the title of Wonder Woman, so he should be granted permission to come here.

Hippolyta: …that’s not how that works and you know it…

Diana, holding Captain Marvel, also like Simba (in Captain Marvel form because funny): Mother, look-

Hippolyta: Is something wrong? Why have you brought the Champion of Magic? Do we need to prepare?

Diana: No, everything is fine.

Hippolyta: Then why is he here?

Diana: He has the Power of Zeus™, so he’s like my brother.

Hippolyta: That’s… That’s nice sweetheart.

The only, ONLY story that I want to see being told about Hippolyta being Wonder Woman in the past is her having profoundly sapphic hero to villain relationship with Priscilla Rich so that in the present we can then see Hippolyta playfully roll her eyes every time Diana brings up Barbara Ann Minerva and be all, "Yep, that's my daughter!"
