Chemo Question

I’m looking for people who live on farms who have had chemo, do you know anyone who might be will to communicate with me? I’m trying to determine how they dealt with the extra risks that come with close contact with animals during an immune-compromised period of time.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January, had a double mastectomy in February. The cancer was removed and the lymph nodes were clean, but my oncologist is asking me to consider 4 rounds of chemo. The problem is that I live on a chicken farm and despite best efforts, there’s a lot of dust connected to chickens which makes me a risk for netropenic fever, pneumocarnii pneumonia and histoplasmosis (chickens). Not to mention dogs and cats...

My boyfriend's mom is sick. She has a hiatal hernia (2/3 of her stomach is lodged behind her heart and her organs are all sorts of misplaced) caused by stress and she has histoplasmosis (fungus in her lungs). Her liver is enflamed from the hernia, and the histoplasmosis, while normally pretty tame, is causing her to get sicker. We're in the middle of a shitload of family problems right now too, and every last bit of this is costing us money. I have a job at a local restaurant and am making tips + manager pay ($9 an hour), but I am getting a second job to try and help with the family I live with now. Her son's both have jobs, but the 15 y/o son is not being expected to help pay for these things. His mama got laid off awhile ago due to budget cuts at the school she worked at. She needs so much help. She also doesn't know this crowdfunding is happening. I honestly don't think she knows what this is. I want to see if we can raise any money before I get her hopes up. I just want to help her. She took me in and is letting me live with her with my boyfriend (once again, her son) but she needs so much help and I know she's stressing out even more with all these health problems. If anyone has even a dollar, it will add up quickly if this goes around. She has been everything good that I need and I just want to help as much as I can, but being 19 you can only do so much. Tl;dr: my mama is sick. Donating like (or even less than) $1 would be the biggest blessing to help pay for surgery and medicine.
