Congratulations! You have digged deep and found yet another old post of mine!
I think I still have the shoes, somewhere 😂
I never wore them 'cause painting them took too long to ruin them... but they should be somewhere around the house!

WHY ARE YOU SO INTERESTED IN MY OLD POSTS?! Any my English? Cringe... omg... I really hope my English got better than whatever ramblings I wrote in 2016.... ALMOST TEN YEARS AGO LET MY OLD POSTS REST PLEASE
✨️I don’t want no consequence, consequence, consequence. I don’t want no consequences chasing me right now✨️
Hi hun! So, on my other blog, I'm sure you saw me rambling about my idea for the Character x Seamstress S/O fanfics. I wanted to get your opinion on something when you find the time.
You know how you always used to write those "Which Lotr Character would most enjoy a cottagecore s/o" requests for me? Could you please do one of those with a Seamstress s/o? Like which Lotr and The Hobbit Characters would most appreciate a seamstress girlfriend? Thank you kindly, and I hope you're doing well hun!!
Here you are love! I hope you enjoy. I have your other ask, and i promise i'm getting to it, but I might have to do it during the weekend since it's the last two days of classes and everything's being a bit rushed.
Lotr:
Eomer:
Eomer would be head over heels for a cute seamstress s/o! You can bet that he would start commissioning clothing he doesn't need, or intentionally tearing tunic or trousers just so that he could stop by and visit them. I feel like he's the type of person who would start brining little things like treats or flowers whenever he comes visiting. When he's made King of Rohan, he wears some traditional armor that has been passed down through generations, but also commissions the rest of his garb to be made by his s/o, likely with a love confession to follow.
Faramir:
Faramir would 100% appreciate a seamstress s/o, especially since he knows a thing or two about sewing himself. I can totally see him allowing his s/o to see his late-mother's wardrobe, so that she could study the different patterns and fashions of Gondor nobility, and Faramir would totally gift her her favorite of the dresses and robes. This is going out on a limb here, but since Faramir mentioned in lotr that his clothes as a boy never fit him, i can see that continuing on to his adulthood. Like perhaps his tunic is always just a bit too tight, or something of the sort. When the seamstress takes his measurements and creates clothing that finally fits, he could have married her on the spot.
Aragorn:
Dirty rugged ranger man would very much love a seamstress s/o. He knows how to sew himself, but without much neatness or grace, and being the ranger that he is, is always having to fix tears and holes in his clothes. When his seamstress s/o comes along, he's ever so thankful that she really knows her stuff, and can make the holes and such almost look like they were never there in the first place. He also starts relying on her to help him with court fashion and 'the noble look' after he becomes king, because she knows whats hot and what's not.
The Hobbit:
Bard:
Bard would love her character, first and foremost, but, he also very much loves her for how helpful she is. With three children, clothing is always getting torn up, and new clothes are needed every few months or so, especially when his kids go through growth-spurts. All of his children would love her, especially little Tilda, since his s/o starts making little dresses and coats for her dolls from scrap fabrics. But also, have you seen the state of that man's coat? Yeah, his seamstress s/o wouldn't stand for that. She'll either refurbish it so that it looks good as new, or she'll create a whole other new coat for him, that'll keep him even warmer out in the winter. He loves her with all his heart, and never fails to bring home new and beautiful threads from the markets for her work.
Fili:
My main dwarf Fili. Okay, so he would absolutely adore his seamstress s/o, and being the crown prince of the richest kingdom in middle earth, would 100% order and bring in nothing but the finest fabrics, silks, and furs for her work. She'd learn a whole lot about dwarven fashion and clothing while there, especially how golden thread can be spun into cloth, and how jewels and precious gems are often threaded onto robes. I feel like their first meeting would be her taking his measurements for a commission Thorin asked her to do, and while she's getting a bit blushy at taking the inseam measurements, Fili starts being Fili and makes a few suggestive, but not offensive jokes. It be so cute to see them interacting.
Bilbo:
This hobbit would be head over heels, because, FINALLY, someone he can talk to about sewing and embroidering clothing. Hobbits have lots of wonderful colors and patterns in their outfits, and I feel like a seamstress would really appreciate all the different styles hobbits have. She would also appreciate the depth at which Bilbo is able to talk about them. He loves commissioning clothing from her, because "There's no one in Hobbiton who comes even remotely close to your skill and dedication. I hardly think I could trust someone else with making my clothes now." It's all very sweet.
Hi hun! I'm doing just fine, sorry I worried you for a second there. I was just out taking a walk with my Mom and it got me thinking about an idea for some headcanons, if you'd be fine with writing them. Which Characters from Lotr and the Hobbit wouldn't mind a s/o who's constantly messy? I know that I LOVE going outside and getting covered in mud and paint and getting wet in the rain and everything. And maybe their s/o is a gardener or works on a farm, some sort of outdoorsy or travel job, so they’re always messy like that? Who do you think would be fine with that, and how would they deal with it? Thanks so much, sorry if that seems like a weird request! Hope you’re doing well hun!
Hi! This wasn’t a weird request at all! Hope you’re doing well also, and thank you for the ask!
Lord of the Rings
Aragorn:
Definitely would not mind at all. He is a Ranger, after all (a ranger who hasn’t properly washed in hair in decades). Pretty chill with it all, like “oh, you don’t mind getting messy either? cool.” He enjoys having someone go out in the pouring rain to hunt/forage with him, because (being raised by elves and all) no one else really would do that before. Also could totally see him having a foot race in a mud pitch with his s/o, because that would be hilarious.
Legolas:
Probably will find it interesting. Like. Legolas doesn’t get dirty. He smells like roses for Mahal’s sake! But when his s/o comes home, paint all over their face and clothes, mud staining their shoes, and grass stains on their pants/skirts/legs? He finds it absolutely adorable. “You’re truly one with nature, Meleth nîn”. Might get a bit annoyed after pulling out 5 leaves, 3 twigs, 2 burrs, and... he’s not sure what that last thing was but it might have been an animal... out of your hair. Probably will feel the need to give you a good wash then.
Samwise:
This hobbit spends so much time gardening he would be happy to find a kindred soul. Gardening outside with him would be so much fun, and you’ll both come in afterwards with dirt under your fingernails and on your faces. He’ll think you look gorgeous, and will probably put some flowers in your hair because “it just looks nice”. Very cute and wholesome.
The Hobbit
Fili:
The Golden Prince might draw the line at some things. “honestly, you’re worse than my brother-- wait... how did you get grass stains on the inside of your clothes?!?” But overall, Fili wouldn’t mind too much. I think he’d really like it when you’re all hot and sweaty (maybe after sparring with him) and finds it really attractive actually. however, he will most definitely corner you with a bottle of shampoo/conditioner if your hair gets too unruly. “AMRALIME I CANT EVEN TELL THE BRAIDS APART FROM KNOTS, IM WASHING YOUR HAIR WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT”
Bofur:
Kisses and Coal Dust. Sorry, that sounded so much better in my head than it did once I wrote it down. ANyways, Bofur is a miner and wouldn’t even bat an eye. It’s as normal as night and day to him, and honestly, he’s relieved. If his s/o was super clean and tidy, he’d be worried about how he looked, but with you, he doesn’t feel like he has to be devoid of his usual mess.
Tauriel:
She finds it hot. Like, really hot. Damn. She’s used to Thranduil and his 3 hour hair and skin routine, and now here comes this person with messy hair, messy clothes, and the most amazing smile she’s ever seen. I just have this image of her jumping into giant Mirkwood leaf piles with her s/o, and then going to climb trees and look at the stars. Tauriel with a messy s/o would be so perfect.
Kili:
Will be the one getting you covered in mud. Dragging you out into the rain behind him and jumping into puddles and mud, before starting a mud fight. Also, any type of craft/activity with this dwarf will end up with the two of you getting covered in either dirt, flour, leaves, an unidentified sticky substance, or all four. However, with Kili, he’ll always clean you and him up afterward, so you can cuddle together while smelling nice.
Aaahh! Dude I LOVE that Dark Academia imagine you answered, it was so sweet and so very true! I hope you don't mind if I request something like it, with headcanons for Thorin, Fili, Kili and Bofur courting a Dark Academia style reader, since I'd be very curious about how they'd handle that individually, and I honestly just love reading your stuff. I hope that's alright, and thank you so very much in advance!!
I’m so sorry this took so long, but I hope you enjoy! And thank you so much for all your kind words, they mean a lot to me!
Thorin: He always had his eye on you, both intrigued and impressed by everything you did. From the way you dressed to the hours spent reading and studying, this dwarrow was incredibly taken by you. When you started courting, he would take you to the Great Library in Erebor, sometimes staying there for the entire day. He would enjoy watching you take notes on the poetry or classics you were reading, and usually, when your wrist finally gets tired, Thorin would sit beside you and either read to you, or have you read to him (personally, I’d rather him read to me… that deep voice *shivers*) I’ve always thought Thorin to be a deep thinker (though, his decisions say otherwise), and when a particularly interesting line comes up, the both of you would spend time talking it over and trying to figure out what it truly means. He would also teach you khuzdul, and help you translate your favorite works into it if you wanted too. And courting gifts. Lots of them. From books to new quill and ink sets, this dwarrow has you covered. He’ll commission fine dresses/coats/shirts/pants/shoes for you, all in the dark academia style. And when you’re up late studying or reading, Thorin will leave you be, but will play his harp beautifully, so the room isn’t completely silent.
Fili: He’s such an amazing dwarrow, honestly I could write essays on this dude. When you start courting, he’s super observant of what you like (and dislike). He knows what you’ll like best for dates (idk what you would call dates in Middle Earth… I need to find a word for that.), whether it’s walking out in the cool autumn evenings or going to the libraries or just staying in your room and reading by the fire. Oh, and just wait till he finds out the violin is a fantastic dark academia instrument. This is actually what I listened to while writing this . And Fili would totally learn to play something like this to satisfy your dark academia music needs. When you cuddle together, Fili likes to talk about what you’re currently reading and ask questions about it. He’ll mostly likely end up reading it after you, if only to impress you. You’ll both probably have a lot of late nights together, with him being the heir and you loving to study/read/learn, so you both end up helping one another with whatever you need, whether simple things like another cup of tea/coffee/whatever drink to helping write out an entire paper. You both mesh really nicely together.
Kili: This sweet bean is not the most studious of sorts, and unfortunately will get a bit bored if there’s days where all you want to do is read or study (Not in a bad way, and he would never complain. He just likes action, something to be happening, you know?), but he always finds ways to compensate. Maybe it’s impulsive walks at midnight through the city, or going out in the middle of the pouring rain with the dim glow of street lanterns lighting the paths. He finds ways to keep you both happy. He’ll also listen intently when you go off on a rant about literature or history, the excitement in your voice keeping him interested. He also just loves hearing you talk. I have a feeling his room is actually very dark academia themed (though not intentionally), with dark walnut wood for his bed and study (when he actually has to do work), and royal blue sheets and curtains. It’s honestly the perfect place to study (if all his clothes and messes are tidied), and you’ll spend hours in there. Like Fili, Kili would love to play the violin for you during those study sessions (also a great way to keep himself entertained). He’ll love to fall asleep cuddling with you while you read to him, like I said before, he loves listening to the sound of your voice.
Bofur: If I’m being completely honest, it’s a bit difficult to see Bofur with a dark academia s/o, purely because the stereotypical dark academia personality would clash with his. My brain is having trouble writing anything for him. Sorry to disappoint. But I hope you enjoyed the others!
That would have to be the breakdown of each clan/type!
-Harfoots were the most common, stereotypical in appearance, and numerous of the hobbits. They were the first to settle in Eriador(now the shire/bree area), and have closer ties to dwarves than any of the other types!
-Fallowhides had the fewest in number, and were far paler and taller than the other hobbit types. They were the second to settle, and prefered forests: they shared ties with the elves, and were the ones who most enjoyed adventure. Wealthy families such as the Tooks and Brandybucks are of Fallowhide decent.
-Stoor were the second to largest group, and were the last to settle in Eriador. Compared to the other types, Stoors were far stockier, and the males are able to grow beards! They enjoyed the water (of which most hobbits do not), mainly stayed along side the river, and were the only hobbits to use boats and swim! (Déagol and Sméagol were both of Stoor decent).
Hello! I had an idea for an imagine that I wanted to get your thoughts on, if that's fine by you. Which Characters from The Hobbit and Lotr do you think would most enjoy dating a Dark Academia-style Writer? So like she dresses in the Dark Academia fashion, reads Classical Literature and her own stories and essays to them while cuddling, excitedly Rants about History and Literature to them, and maybe they even find her journal full of sappy love poems and rambles about how much she loves them? Who do you think would be most down for a s/o like that, if you don't mind me asking. I'd love to get your thoughts on this, and your blog is so spectacular btw!
Oh ho ho, my friend, this is right up my alley. I am obsessed with Dark Academia.
For ‘The Hobbit’:
Bilbo Baggins.
He was literally the first person to pop into my head. He is a perfect mix of cottage core and light academia, and I feel like he would have a lot of love for dark academia as well. When you’d cuddle, you’d both be reading your respective books (or even better, reading the same book with one another, or even even better, reading aloud to one another), and when a particularly deep or meaningful quote or scene happens, you would both discuss it thoroughly. You would both go into rants about history and literature you find interesting, and understand one another perfectly, going into incredible depth about the topics. If he ever found love poems you wrote about him, he would read them with the fondest smile upon his face. Who knows, in a few days, you might even come across a few poems or songs he has written about you.
Bard.
Bard has a lot of respect for history, (I hold firm to the belief that he was one of the very few lake men who really cared about the towns past), and would probably even help teach you some history of Dale and Esgaroth. And if you teach him about our worlds history and mythology, he would be all ears and find it utterly fascinating. He would totally be down to just spending quiet days at the library with you, and would probably read every book you recommend to him (Imagine discussing ‘A Secret History’ with him… that would be quite an interesting conversation). And if he ever came across love rants/poems… this man would get all cute and tell you how much they mean to him. He’s just that kind of person.
Thorin.
This dwarf would be incredibly into Dark Academia. I can just imagine dressing him up in one of those gray waistcoats with the white, long-sleeved undershirt. If he should roll the sleeves up to the elbow… sigh. He could totally dress the part. And he would absolutely love seeing you dressed dark academia style. His color palate is very similar to what is typically dark academia. And get ready for hours of discussing both dwarrow and human history with him. Also, if I may go out on a limb here, there is this headcannon I have about dwarrow museums being carved into old mineshaft used of resources. Thorin would be immensely proud and excited to show you and teach you everything in the museums. Walking down the stone halls and him pointing out various carvings and texts on the walls, your dark academia mind couldn’t be happier. And cuddles with his arm around your shoulders, lying in bed after a long day, ending the night reading. He would occasionally look down at what your reading (possibly asking what’s going on in the plot, depending on if you get annoyed by interruptions or not) and smile to himself. If you read your own work to this dwarf, expect the best feedback possible. He is very thorough with his feedback, and knows how to properly give constructive criticism as well as highlighting the best parts of your work.
Lindir.
This sweet little elf would be beside himself. He loves the libraries in Rivendell, and you sharing and reading stories with him opens up worlds. He would also love the way you dress, and will often ask what has inspired your ‘look’ for the day. He gets excited when you come to him with a new topic to rant about, and will likely contribute some very insightful views on the matter. When you come to him with questions about Middle Earth’s history, he will gladly answer whatever you ask (and probably end up having a history rant of his own. ‘Hey Lindir, what are the Silmarils?’ ‘…how about you sit down, and we’ll chat about it for a few months.’). He would just be the sweetest if he found your love rambles, and would be blushing the entire time reading them. Expect a wonderful thank you and an entire sonnet of his own composed for you.
Ori.
Can’t forget this little scribe. He would be beside himself at finding a fellow reader and writer, and the two of you would have so many reading sessions where you discuss what exactly this word meant in this context, or just ranting sessions where you gush and/or vent about a certain scene or plot development. He would find your outfits absolutely exquisite and probably even help you piece some together. Cuddling with him while reading is honestly the best, because you’ll just be laying side-by-side, surrounded by pillows and blankets (possibly in front of a fireplace in the Great Erebor Library), and just be reading your different books together, content to just read without feeling the need to talk. If you ever read your work to him, he would be beside himself at the level of trust you place in him (being a writer, he knows how daunting sharing your work can be), and he would love whatever you write. Expect him to start sharing his work as well. For the love poems, You’ll probably find his poems/rambles first, tbh. He just loves expressing himself through writing, and expressing his love for you is his favorite thing. You both get all sappy and blushy when you read one another declarations of love.
For ‘Lord of the Rings’:
Frodo Baggins.
Much like his Uncle, Frodo has a healthy appreciation for history and literature. He’d just love pouring over different books with you, and discussing them. His favorite thing to do with you on rainy days is to curl up with a good book and read aloud. Maybe even a walk down the trails and paths with an umbrella as well (Lobelia in the hobbit movies and the end of return of the king has proven there to be umbrella’s in Middle Earth). Hobbits are known for their passion for History, particularly family History, so he’ll definitely go into some rants of his own about the history of the Shire, and will sit and listen to your rants as well.
Elrond.
Lord Elrond is like a living, breathing, history textbook. He would be the absolute best person to discuss historical events and mythology and such. His keenness for knowledge knows no limits. There will definitely be very, very, long conversations about literature and meanings behind what the author writes, and the morals and values of the texts. Honestly, there is just such a depth of understanding between you and Elrond that is incredibly hard to find in others.
Faramir.
This man. This is the man who literally fanboyed over Gandalf and became a pupil to him. He would absolutely be beside himself when he meets you, because another human who is obsessed with learning and history and literature and discussing it and having deep conversations about it??? He would fall hard. And he would always love the way you dress, whether you are wearing a cozy sweater-vest or a dramatic trench coat. The two of you would literally spend hours in Gondor’s libraries, pouring over shelves of scrolls and books, taking notes on them, and maybe with a few older ones, restoring them together. Your favorite thing to do before going to bed is lighting a few candles and reading together. He would especially be fascinated and amazed at anything you have written and willing to share with him. He honestly just loves you so much, and feels so understood when he’s around you. And finding love poems written about him fills him with an indescribable amount of joy.
Aragorn.
When not off doing important Ranger or Kingly duties, Aragorn would just love to spend time reading with you. The kind of quality time where neither person needs to say anything, because the simple presence of the person is enough. He’s very into History, and I can totally see him ranting to you about the story of Beren and Luthien (perhaps the rest of the Silmarillion if he has the time), and would love to hear about your stories and books from our world. He’s the kind of person who prefers to dress practical, but that doesn’t stop him from complimenting your outfits and thinking how great you look every time you walk into the room. He loves the aesthetic of it. And should he ever stumble across a poem about him, he will probably keep it to himself, but memorize every word and repeat it to himself while traveling.
So I may have gotten just a tad bit carried away with this, but it was so much fun doing! Thank you for this ask! I hope this is what you were looking for. Now, i’m going to make myself a cup of tea and go to bed.
