His Honorable Tyranny Masterpost Manuscript (Complete with Canonical Information on the Subject of Alternian Law, 1st Edition)
OWO < His Honorable Tyranny’s blood is irrespective of any canonical significance; likely a biological mutation and stylistic choice. At this time, there is no reason for him to have black blood aside from his depiction including it.
OWO < His Honorable Tyranny(s) is/are hand-picked by the Highbloods to oversee judiciary operations on Alternia. The word just is explicitly used here, meaning they adjudicate the final say insofar as who is guilty, who is not, who is eaten, and who is spared the rapacious appetite of His Honorable Tyranny.
OWO < His Honorable Tyranny is described as brainless, gross, huge, and massive. His grotesque frame could be used as a deterrent, as well as an element of impartiality. Justice is certainly blind if justice is uncompromisingly cruel and tyrannical, with no room for bias or sleights of favoritism. (Sans taste)
O0O < This is the first CANONICAL appearance of His Honorable Tyranny. His Honorable Tyranny presides; and thus it can be safely confirmed he oversees most, if not all, non-court-martial-related judicial proceedings on the planet of Alternia. It is not confirmed if he makes the actual decision or not.
OwO < We don’t get much information insofar as what a ‘Courtblock’ entails, especially since Courtblock drama seems to suggest allusion to a kangaroo-court-esque sort of show-trial, but a little attentiveness gleans Alternian Justice is much more sophisticated than that. The trials /do/ matter, just not much.
OWO < We also get confirmation there is NO SUCH THING AS A DEFENSE on Alternia. This is majorly important to understand -- as most are used to a non-European-style ADVERSARIAL justice system, rather than an INQUISITORIAL system. If Alternia is a true Inquisitorial System (as I suspect it is) plausible deniability and reasonable doubt are pointless -- the judge ascertains the truth and the attorneys (in this case Legislacerators) stick to their guns: who did it?
VwV < We unfortunately don’t get to SEE His Honorable Tyranny preside...but...
(VwV) < We do, however, get a nice glimpse into the shape of the courtblock, and it can be reasonably assumed Redglare or at least Mindfang circled around to the center of the Libra-esque symbol, thus placing His Tyranny centerfold; presiding. Hence why he had to be dealt with directly in order to escape)
OWO < The Prosecution can motion requests from His Honorable Tyranny, such as a momentary recess to compose one’s self. This is significant because traditionally -- issuing a motion requires one of the two opposing council’s subordinate permission(s) requested verbally from the Judge. This implies His Honorable Tyranny, if nothing else, can understand Trollian Basic.
OmO; < There doesn’t appear to be any iteration of separation of church and state -- and although there is none in American law either (just a three prong test to make sure there is no official endorsement of a faith by a public institution) -- it’s worthwhile to note this means phrases like ‘Mother-Grub fearing’, and presumably, ‘mirthful messiahs’, ‘troll Jegus’ .etc are ALLOWED.
Om<; < This may also lend credence to statements like ‘purple enough to get away with it’ -- as purplebloods are given some leniency with regards to rules that would ordinarily result in uncompromising culling -- and posthumous pardoning of guilt if disproved. Purplebloods are often the most religiously pious, which would make sense for the dissemination between privileged classes, if Purplebloods are afforded closely nit-networks of partial court-immunity.
OMO; < It is not customary to salute His Tyranny by licking him personally...
OWO < It is at the very least, however, canonical that the entire courtblock is adjourned post-trial. How many of them are allowed to leave without being culled or devoured is unknown, (the Rustbloods during Mindfang’s trial, for instance, are not seen again after having been manipulated into Redglare’s death) but it is known that “adjourned” is legal-speak for “fuck off and head home.”
OWO;;; < His Honorable Tyranny’s graffiti depiction is given the honorific title “Hella Tyranny”. This mirrors traditional court parlance, in phrases such as “Your Honor The Judge, Your Tyranny, Your Viceroyality .etc”.
OWO < Alternian law reverses the principles of innocent until proven guilty; and lawyers really do have it out for the accused as Remele seemed to suggest. Any exoneration or appeals are traditionally posthumous, meaning there is doubtfully any sort of appellate court in Alternia -- especially when the sentence is death.
OWO; < ...he eats trolls. Presumably not trolls who are smart cookies (like Tirona Kasund, for example) but rather, the ones who are disrespectful in court, make a lot of noise, and taste the best because of their wicked deeds.
OWO < Character witnesses are a thing on Alternia -- which is strange, considering the Prosecution would never have a need to call to the stands someone in DEFENSE of the accused, especially since defense is not only a thing in Alternian law, but the mere word is offensive.
OMO; < What’s more confusing, is that you can /object/. If there are no opposing counsel(s), and law is restricted to a courtblock, Legislacerator prosecution, and His Honorable Tyranny...who would a hypothetical attorney object to? His Honorable Tyranny? You would essentially be asking the judge to determine if his actions and composure are appropriate -- to sustain or overrule; I’d be hard-pressed to see someone with the unmitigated gall to pull a stunt like that.
OWO < The positive side to this all is that His Honorable Tyranny is confirmed to receive objections! Even if it is tantamount to an auto-eat/consumption, he is at the very least equipped in some way, form, or facet to be objected to when court proceedings go less than favorable for the prodigal Legislacerators.
OWO < His Honorable Tyranny will obstruct anyone who attempts to leave court while it is in session; likely killing them or devouring them alive. Speedy trial.
OWO;;; < Unf. What a solid monster design. He carries a similar motif to that of the Drones, the Condesce’s ships, and other similarly imperialistic vessels and/or constructs in the Alternian military. His maw doesn’t seem to imply speech capacity, but he has (APPROXIMATELY) the following statistics:
OWO < Bribery of the Prosecution seems to be illegal, as per the standard of trying to corrupt officials. What’s interesting, however, is that it seems not only commonplace -- but well known -- how crooked Tealbloods can be.
OWO; < I will never dub a character my ‘uguuu flowerchild’, but I cannot get over the fact that it is beyond adorable to imagine His Honorable Tyranny daydreaming and dazing as court proceedings take place. Nothing is cuter. He is a bloodthirsty, adorable brainless beast monster judge, and does no wrong.
