Worst run of my life I forgot my homework for my theory class so I had to lie and say I was going to the bathroom so I could go to my dorm which is like so far away. I ran all the way there took like 3 minutes and then I checked my room and I couldn’t find the damn homework there either, but i remember bringing it to lunch so i went to the cafeteria after that which is kind of the opposite of the same path ibtoook before but with a bit of a detour to check there, and then I didn’t see it there either.

Then I went into the builfibng again without my homework and remembered that I might have left it in the practice rooms so I checked all the rooms I’ve been in and it wasn’t there either. And then I gave up. threw the water bottle I used so ibwoulfnt die from the heat after running so much . And then I went to the classroom and I checked my backpack and then I saw my fucking blue folder that has the homework.

So I was thinking about a job I had a while back that only lasted 6 weeks. It was a sales job where you stand in Costco and sell at&t to people (yes I know trust me).

I never went out to do that though. Why? Because on my 2nd day I told the boss that I needed a chair because of a disability (I can't stand in one place for a long time, even 10 min is hard). In the entire time I was there it never got approved.

At one point I had a 1 on 1 with one of the owners. We were talking for a bit, and then I mentioned that I hadn't gone into the field yet because I was waiting for the chair. He then proceeded to talk about how they used to have an employee that was in a wheelchair. And he basically was like you can handle any situation if you push through it, disabilities don't hold you back. And normally I'm really naive and believe whatever people tell me right? Well, thankfully I've been getting out of that because literally after he said that I was thinking that it wasn't AT ALL the same situation.

Of course Costco wouldn't say no to someone in a wheelchair because he's IN A WHEELCHAIR. No business in existence would say no he can't have his wheelchair with him.

Whereas there's me with an invisible disability where people don't take it seriously and don't realize how it affects me. Legit if they rejected it I wouldn't be able to do the job.

Like seriously how stupid was this guy???

So just remember, invisible disabilities are completely valid but so many people will undermine you. Don't let people convince you that the condition doesn't affect you. You deserve to be able to function.

i think tumblr should use polls to make this site a democracy btw. every time they roll out a new feature they should make a poll about it and we vote and then the new update inevitably gets turned back after a week and everyone is happy
