As for Alphie’s favorite professor, he’s fond of McGonagall, but his strongest bond is actually with Firenze. While technically not a teacher, Firenze taught both Alphie and Harry a lot.
Sybill still teaches Divination, and Firenze remains with his centaur herd, but both boys sought his guidance, especially since Harry has had strange visions since childhood, even after Voldemort’s defeat 🤔🤔
In this AU, Dumbledore is still headmaster (I should make a list of things that changed/stayed the same one day). Alphie sees him in a neutral/positive light, since he knows little about the war (Regulus doesn’t talk about it). Regulus and Dumbledore, however, have a more complicated relationship.
As for Alphie’s tattoos, they’re based on real North African indigenous designs; traditionally used for beauty or spiritual protection. In the wizarding world, these tattoos can also act as protective runes, guarding against elemental creatures like Djinns (fire) or Inferi (water) 👀👀

draco malfoy is a tough one, because i mostly headcanon him as liking men, so i'm gonna do this from a sort of gender-neutral!reader perspective!!

so he cooked. he baked. he created. ron had always been shoddy when it came to healing. it felt clumsy coming from him—the wandwork and words. hermione was better. harry was too. but he always thought food healed the soul—it healed his.
and sure, he supposed he could have become an auror like harry did or help george out at the joke shop or even find another ministry job like everyone else, but ron wasn't interested in picking up the wizarding world's broken pieces or chasing down final loose ends. he didn't want to spend the rest of his life reminded of the worst of humanity. he wanted to get better. he wanted to feel human again.
and ron felt human when he was tempering chocolate for dessert (smiling at the thought of how he met his best mate, how harry was so willing to spend all he had on shared sweets for some kid he didn't even know) and dicing onions for minced pies (thinking about his first day at school, amazed and overwhelmed by his first hogwarts feast) and peeling potatoes for dinner (remembering his first christmas with harry and hermione, the innocent laughter that befell them before things got so complicated) and mopping the kitchen after all the day's meals were done (holding back his laughter when he heard from the elves that him and fred couldn't possibly be related because fred was a shit cook and mixed up mayonnaise with paste once).

So very often you will spend 10-15 minutes looking for something before realizing that Fred probably took it and is waiting for you to notice. Sometimes he takes things and uses them when you’re around to see if you’ll notice. Sometimes you will and you cross your arms and look at him trying to feign annoyance.
