another on of my poc in hp universe HCs that no one will probably care about (i care tho so suck it)
so you know how in the beginning of sorcerer's stone it's constantly made a point that harry has this unruly hair that no matter how they try to cute or tame it, it just grows back "like magic"
imagine little black boys and girls who are constantly pulled out of class, embarrassed, ridiculed, and punished for having their hair in natural styles and such. whether it's cut a certain way, faded or has designs on the sides, braids, cornrows, locs, dreads, colorful beads/ clips/ etc. u know what im talking about. black children get discriminated against for their haircare that in no way interferes with the education of themselves or others.
now we have a new generation of witches and wizards.
so boom all these black children whose hair is constantly criminalized suddenly find that when they're attacked by those teachers, school administrators, and such and they try to force them to not wear these styles and even go as far as to take it out themselves or punish these kids for it...their hair only grows. stronger, healthier, and even more beautiful. their hair forming different extravagantly braided styles and patterns even when taken out. the designs in black haircuts becoming even more intricate with full words and images. different colors and shades of their hair shining in the light when they move. ITS A MOMENT
and perhaps those who tried to ruin this cultural moment (of natural hair and styling it for black children) suddenly find that their hair is thinning, their hairline is moving further back, they're balding which they never had to worry about before. but suddenly it's like no matter what they do or try they can't hold onto their hair anymore. hmph. strange
