Originally posted here Ruby straightened her jacket, shook her hand out, and flashed Asher a look before walking away. The woman had touched him too many times while they were ‘just talking’ and Ruby was not having any of it. He could follow her if he wished but she didn’t even remotely slow down until she pushed open the front doors and was greeted by cold air.

Ruby sighed, scratching her back with the barrel of her sawed-off. The days were growing longer as she remained trapped in the small cottage. Surrounding her were the risen dead, the only noise she'd heard for weeks now were their low gurgling and growling but there were too many for her to slip through. Food had begun to grow low and she had to limit herself to eating every second day to try to make it last but the reserves were still dwindling down to a very concerning level. She would have to leave at some point to scavenge for food. And maybe bullets. But how? The crowd seemed to consistently gain new 'followers' and the sound was deafening. Ruby heard it in her sleep, she heard it in her waking day, she was surrounded in all ways. The sun began to drift behind the horizon, bathing all in an amber glow. Looking out from the second story bedroom window, Ruby watched the dead mill around aimlessly. They knew there was someone in the cottage but had given up trying to get in. Ruby had made it near impenetrable. Darkness would have to be her ally tonight, there was no way she could take down one of those things in the daylight. She had to be quick, quiet and unseen. Night had arrived and the moon was missing, it had become thinner and thinner over the month. That would make it easier, there would be nothing to cast light on her now. Grabbing her hunting knife, Ruby made her way down the stairs and into the kitchen. There were one or two of those things out there, gnashing their teeth and growling at each other when they came too close. She moved the blockades she had made and unlocked the door silently, pausing when the dead heads would lift at any slight noise. Ruby almost held her breath the whole time, her palms began to sweat at the thought of what she was going to do. The dead were pacing and she noted that one of them always went around the side of the house before doubling back like it was searching for something so she had to wait still. It was killing her, the walls in this place were driving her insane. Finally, the second man had slipped around the corner and Ruby opened the door quickly. She grabbed the dead by his slimy arm and before his growl could alert any of the others she stuck her blade into its soft skull. It's jaw went slack but before she could drag it back inside she felt the barrel of another gun pressed against her back. "Please, I have no food or resources." Ruby said quietly, keeping completely still but aware that the other dead man was due back any moment. "There's another one of these things that is about to circle back, come inside and I will give you what I have but please, we have to be quick." She spoke in a low, melodic voice giving urgency to their timing. She could hear the shuffling growing closer with each moment.

Well Ruby has a few thousand years on him so...  Do they ‘fuck’ or ‘make love’? They fuck. Rough or soft? Rough, passionate, needy.  How long do they usually last? They can last longer than average.  Is protection used? Not really, no.  Does it ever get boring? Heck no.  Where is the strangest place they’d have sex? Probably somewhere super public. Ruby is forever teasing him when they’re out and they can get carried away. 

Family: Do your muses plan on having children/or have children? They have planned to have a family.  If so, how many children do your muses want/have? Ruby would like two.  Who is the favorite parent? Asher, by far.  Who is the authoritative parent? Ruby, but not in a harsh way. She just wouldn’t raise delinquents.  Who is more likely to allow the children to have a day off school? Probably Ruby in spite of the above question.  Who lets the children indulge in sweets and junk food when the other isn’t around? Oooh, I know Ruby doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth so she isn’t particularly likely to keep them around, but I don’t think Asher would do that either.  Who turns up to extra curricular activities to support their children? Ruby, much to their chagrin.  Who goes to parent teacher interviews? Ruby, although she will bring Asher along when he’s available.  Who changes the diapers? They’re considerate of one another so they take turns.  Who gets up in the middle of the night to feed the baby? Ruby, she doesn’t sleep much anyway.  Who spends the most time with the children? Ruby, only because Asher works a lot.  Who packs their lunch boxes? Well it’d be Ruby because she’s always up anyway.  Who gives their children ‘the talk’? They’d both try to do it and they’d get shut down very quickly.  Who cleans up after the kids? The kids would pick up after themselves.  Who worries the most? Ruby, constant-anxiety-since-kids mum.  Who are the children more likely to learn their first swear word from? Ha, Asher.  Affection: Who likes to cuddle? Hmm, Asher.  Who is the little spoon? Ruby, I’d like to see all 5′4″ of her spoon Asher.  Who gets naughty in the most inappropriate of places? Well, we all know who.  Who struggles to keep their hands to themselves?  Ahem.  How long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable? They don’t become uncomfortable.  Who gives the most kisses? Asher.  What is their favourite non-sexual activity? Anything to do with getting out of the house really, they can be known to frequent bars.  Where is their favourite place to cuddle? Ruby loves being cuddled on the couch when they watch movies.  Who is more likely to playfully grope the other? Idk how many more times I can say that Ruby is the more teasing one? How often do they get time to themselves? All most all the time.  Sleeping: Who snores? Asher, but only lightly. It’s cute.  If both do, who snores the loudest? N/A Do they share a bed or sleep separately? Yeah, try and keep them in separate beds. Ruby changes it up between pyjama shorts and a t-shirt or nothing, depending on the weather and if Asher is home yet. Are either of your muses insomniacs? Ruby is, but she keeps it on the DL.  Can sleeping pills be found by the bedside? No. Do they wrap their limbs around each other or just lay side by side? They be like pretzels.  Who wakes up with bed hair? Asher, and it is adorable.  Who wakes up first? Ruby.  Who prepares breakfast in bed for the other? Asher, he’s a lot more romantic than Ruby.  What is their favourite sleeping position? Ruby likes to sleep on her side/stomach.  Who hogs the sheets? Asher.  Are any of your muses unemployed? Ruby, for the most part.  Who takes the most sick days? Neither.  Who is more likely to turn up late to work? Neither.  Who sucks up to their boss? Neither.  What are their jobs? Asher is a lawyer, and Ruby drifts from job to job. Who stresses the most? Probably Asher? Do your muses enjoy or despise their careers/occupations? They enjoy it, why else would they do it? Are your muses financially stable? Yes, Asher is good at saving and taking care of them. Home: Who does the washing? Ruby Who takes out the trash? Asher Who does the ironing? Ruby Who does the cooking? They both cook, which is known to lead to sexy times in the kitchen.  Who is more likely to burn the house down just trying? Neither, they’re good at cooking.  Who is messier? Who forgets to flush the toilet? See above.  Who is the prankster around the house? Hmm, I can’t see either of them really doing anything that’d be considered a ‘prank’. Asher.  Who answers the telephone? They answer their own phones unless busy.  Who does the vacuuming? Ruby Who does the groceries? Ruby Who takes the longest to shower? Probably Ruby? No How many cars do they own? I’m going to say at least two.  Do they own their home or do they rent? They own it.  Do they live near the coast or deep in the countryside? Human!Ruby dreams of living near the coast.  Do they live in the city or in the country?  The city.  Do they enjoy their surroundings? Very much so.  What’s their song? They don’t really have a song, a lot of the ones they listen to have different meanings.  What do they do when they’re away from each other? Ruby maintains their home and keeps herself busy. If Asher is away it’s because he’s working on a big case.  Where did they first meet? In a small town.  How did they first meet? Their parents used to take them to neighbouring homes over the summer.  Who spends the most money when out shopping? Ruby is very conscientious about money as she doesn’t earn nearly as much  Who’s more likely to flash their assets? They’re not flashy people.  Who finds it amusing when the other trips over? Ruby always finds it amusing when people trip.  Any mental issues? Not now.  Who’s terrified of bugs? Neither.  Who kills the spiders around the house? Both.  Their favourite place? Ruby always loves going back to the creek where they spent a lot of their time growing up.  Who pays the bills? Asher takes care of it. Do they have any fears for their future? Not really. Who’s more likely to surprise the other with a fancy dinner? Probably Asher? Although Ruby does enjoy romantic home made dinners more. Who uses up all of the hot water? They both do when they shower together because things get s t e a m y Who’s the tallest? Oh definitely Asher.  Who’s more likely to just randomly hop into the shower with the other? They do it to each other.  Who wanders around in their underwear? Ruby definitely. Who sings the loudest when singing along to the radio? I can see Asher doing it. What do they tease each other about? Ruby makes fun of Asher for being a lot taller than her, so it’s only natural that Asher reverses it.  Who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times? Neither.  Do they have mutual friends? A few, yes. Who crushed first? Ruby will always maintain that she did it first because she admitted to it first.  Any alcohol or substance related problems? Nope Who is more likely to stumble home, drunk, at 3am? I’m going to have to go with Asher? After work drinks and the like can do that. But I see him more drunk dialling Ruby to come pick him up and she puts on a grumpy attitude but is secretly relieved to do so. Who swears the most? When tempers are flaring it can be hard to tell, Ruby doesn’t swear a lot outside of high energy situations.
