Fiona and huntress,I really love that huntress after everything that happened in the episode and in Rhodes the chapters, I told Fiona that it was not the broken piece, really after all the things that have happened to fiona it is necessary that someone follows you something like that, especially when you have spent your whole life feeling insufficient

Dungeons & DuckTales

Part One of ???

A few months ago when I got my little bro into the new season of DuckTales we started talking about Dungeons and Dragons (Cause we’re obsessed) and he thought it would be hilarious to model a new DnD character after Darkwing Duck. After a few tries he fashioned a Gallus duck (Humblewood race bird person) Way of the Shadow Monk who’s favorite past times included vigilante heroism, monologuing and smoke bombs. It got us thinking, what classes would the rest of the cast be? It’s become something of a fun sibling project to debate about classes and alignments so check under the cut for our full nerd-out reasoning behind class choices ;)

Darkwing Duck

Monk: Way of the Shadow

Alignment: Neutral Good

He is the terror that flaps in the night! He is the stunning strike that paralyzes you at the top of each round, he’s Darkwing Duck!

While I originally figured on a Fighter class for DW my brother was galaxy-brained and showed me the awesomeness of Monks. In the end it made way more sense. DW doesn’t use weapons and is proficient in martial arts and other flavors of hand-to-hand combat. When we tried to think of a replacement for his iconic gas gun we ultimately figure on those colorful smoke bombs but on a larger scale. Shadow Monks can spend Ki points to duplicate spell effects or even cast spells like darkness, dark vision, pass without a trace and silence. All stuff I’m sure DW would drool over the chance to operate with. At higher levels he can even fade through one shadow and appear through another like some sort of phantasmal whack-a-mole. While his outfit is designed based on his DWD costume after a lot of consideration I nixed the cape as it wasn’t looking right for the class and he’ll have plenty of dramatic flare between shadows, smoke, and magic anyway ;)

Gosalyn/ Quiverwing Quack

Ranger: Huntress

Alignment: Neutral Good

Thanks to Gosalyn’s superhero-sona, Quiverwing Quack, her class was pretty easy to pin down. Design aspects were pulled directly from her original costume with a few additions from the SDCC design teaser. As far as her Huntress subclass, instead of hunting beasts or monsters our Quiverwing takes up the family business of hunting crime with plenty of tricks of her sleeve and in her magic arrows.

Paladin: Oath of the Ancients.

Alignment: Lawful Good

We have been debating LP’s class for weeks. Was he a Beast Master Ranger that rides a rhino to crash into evil-doers? Was a he a land and sea vehicle proficient Fighter? Instead of trying to pin him down based on a particular fighting style or job we decided to focus his actual character. Launchpad McQuack, everyone’s friend! Loyal, hard-working, trustworthy and loves sharing his favorite stories and lore with the people around him, who prides being a good guy without the ego for limelight but because it’s the right thing to do. My brother seized the Players Handbook and flipped open to the Paladin section where he found Oath of the Ancients. And since it’s so much to paraphrase here’s a direct pull:

Tenets of the Ancients

The tenets of the Oath of the Ancients have been preserved for uncounted centuries. This oath emphasizes the principles of good above any concerns of law or chaos. Its four central principles are simple.

Kindle the Light. Through your acts of mercy, kindness, and forgiveness, kindle the light of hope in the world, beating back despair.

Shelter the Light. Where there is good, beauty, love, and laughter in the world, stand against the wickedness that would swallow it. Where life flourishes, stand against the forces that would render it barren.

Preserve Your Own Light. Delight in song and laughter, in beauty and art. If you allow the light to die in your own heart, you can't preserve it in the world.

Be the Light. Be a glorious beacon for all who live in despair. Let the light of your joy and courage shine forth in all your deeds.

When I asked which sort of deity Paladin LP would serve my brother laughed and said ‘Darkwing Duck, duh.’ So now we have our shiny, armored best boy. I modeled his armor designs for the open sky and used The Sunchaser/Cloud Slayer as the cross tree and hilt of the sword.

Well, that’s round one! Up next is the triplets! I was super stoked to start this mini project with my bro so we can combine two of our favorite things, DnD and DuckTales ;)

Thank youuuuu!!! <3 i didn’t expect to get more than a couple notes on my previous dinah/helena post and i’m flattered cause it is so dumb but haha i keep thinking about the mental image. 

And the basket of earplugs ends up sitting in a corner of the room, because Harley really was right and her heart was in the right place (despite the sheer ridiculousness) and neither can bring themselves to getting something a bit more incognito because they don’t want to hurt Harley when she legit was being rather caring and she does have a point, Helena doesn’t need tinnitus. 

Also I spent far too long on this shitty little edit for what I mean, for the whole mental image of this lmao (pretend that’s not a tub there i am far too lazy to get rid of that too)

They went out and got a lid for it tho because gosh it’d be awkward having Cass see that all the time when she wanders by because she’s not dumb (and she definitely lives with the Birds & Harley now because no way should she be forced to be with those foster parents and because it’s hard to be Harley’s “business partner” when u aren’t able to be there at a moment’s notice and i adore the idea that even tho Harley breaks the law w/o a care she still can live in the same apartment or w/e with the Birds esp when vigilantism is also frowned on legally). Which also means this kinda snowballs into the idea that they use the money they get at the end of the movie to also soundproof Dinah’s bedroom in whatever place they all live together. No tinnitus for anyone. Or people calling the cops from all that noise. Hell, more than one room is probably sound proof simply because they also like to do training inside sometimes or work on weaponry.
