I've now written seven chapters for a fanfiction. But specifically a BLOODYMARY fanfiction.

If someone told me that THIS was what got me back into writing and sharing my works. That fucking Markiplier and Ryan Gosling was what did it like even a year ago I would not fucking believe you how the FUCK did I end up here

I finally, FINALLY finished my FIRST ever Spuffy fic. My silly little sick fic oneshot. I just have to proofread it because I did write a lot of it while I was blitzed on like nyquil and I'm still adapting to my new contact lenses/RX because it's made me a bit farsighted, and I have to remind my eyes to work together sometimes and I misspell a lot right now lol. But I will eventually post it. Granted I am VERY intimidated lol and don't think my writing is any good, but I'll publish it. Promise. Now, onto finishing the unhinged Spuffy smut! And guitar practice. LOL.

I've always loved that her hair is wavy earlier on in the manga and I wish it was kept that way! It's going to be that way in my fic and I'm definitely keeping the dark blue/black color because I love it 😂 also keeping her eyes blue gray like they are in the manga because I like it 😂 pure self indulgence at this point

Today I'm going to be compiling all of my notes for the fic together to try to make some sense of all of them! I'm definitely going to be sticking closer to the manga than the anime, but the anime does have some moments I'll be using too. Also, I know some people don't like the movies but I'm a sucker for them. I'll be using stuff from those too 😂👏🏻

When will my life begin?

Characters:Gideon Coal

Warnings: I don't believe there is any. Maybe some cussing, slight trauma, and description of death. I also haven't written fan fiction in a while so this might be rough😅

Based on the song "When will my life begin?" From the movie Tangled.

Gideon didn't know how long he had been on the train. Those first few months after he got captured he tried to keep track of how many days had passed. After a while though, everything had begun to blur together, and Gideon doesn't even know what month or year it was.

The train had stopped for the evening to get more supplies, and he was leaning against the far wall of the train car, the manacles on his wrists pulling slightly on his arms. He looked at the chain traveling from his wrists to the spot on the floor, and pulled back just a little more. Gideon winced as the manacles moved against his skin, scars peeking out from underneath the manacles, still slightly red and pink from the day he got the damn things.

He leaned his head back against the wall, moonlight shining on his face through the hole in the roof. Gideon smiled slightly when he saw the sky was crystal clear, the stars shining bright as diamonds. He was about to close his eyes when something caught his attention, a constellation in the shape of a Cowboy. Gideon's vision started getting blurry as he stared at the Cowboy in the stars as he realized something.

It was his birthday.

Tears started trickling down his cheeks as he thought back to his last birthday. One of the final days he spent with Pa before his life went to shit.

Today he was 18. He originally had wanted to take his Pa's motorcycle into town, meet up with a few buddies, and maybe take that receptionist Maureen back to the barn for some fun. Yet here he was, sitting on a hill overlooking the farm, with his Pa trying to light a cigar.

Gideon let out a sigh as he looked at his Pa and said,"So why did you bring me out here again? I was gonna go into town, meet a few buddies- "

"And bring that nice girl Maureen back to the barn for a roll in the hay. I know you're my son Gideon, but I know you like the back of my hand. You're predictable. Besides I got something I wanna teach you. You see that constellation over there? It's right above the house."

Gideon could see it, it was shaped like a Cowboy. "Yeah I can see it, Pa. What's a star shaped Cowboy gotta do with me?" As far as he could remember, him and his Pa would like to look at the different constellations, yet he was never shown this one.

"Now I know I'm gonna sound crazy but if you ever feel like life is total chaos, and if the sky is clearer than the river, look for that constellation. Then you know it's your birthday. Ever since your mama brought you to my doorstep, the sky has always been crystal clear and that constellation has always been above the house. I didn't ever figure what happened to her after she dropped you off at my doorstep, but I like to think it's her way of saying she's still here, that's she's always watching."

Gideon looked back at his Pa and said,"You had me then you lost me. What does this star have to do with me?"

"Dammit Gid, get the cotton out of your ears. What I'm trying to say is, you're 18 now. Pretty soon your gonna meet a nice gal and settle down, or a nice gentleman, if that's what your into. And maybe have a family too. Then at some point your gonna be having hard times and you're gonna want to give up. You gotta have something to focus on to keep on moving forward. That's why I'm telling you about the constellation. So you always have a focus point to keep going no matter what happens. You get what I'm saying Gid?"

Gideon glanced back at the sky then back to his Pa and said with a slight smile,"Yeah I get it Pa. I'll keep it mind."

He nodded his head in agreement and as he slowly began to stand he said,"Good. Now let's head back it's getting late. Tomorrow you and I can make sure the bike is in shape before you go do your thing. How's that sound,Gid?"

Gideon stood up, embers from his hair sizzling out in the wind, and clapped his hand on his Pa's shoulder then said with a smile,"That sounds perfect,Pa."

Yet they never did. The next morning the sun had barely broken over the horizon when the hobgoblins stormed in, burning everything in sight, including his Pa. Gideon could still see the smoking corpse as they dragged him away in chains.

He swiped his cheek against his hand, the remaining tears drying in the heat of the engine car. Gideon glanced up at the sky once more, the stars blinking just a little brighter. And he started thinking:

The hobgoblins took him for his fire when he was 18.

Yet as he's now older, he's not as energetic as he once was.

Maybe they would let him go.

Maybe once they found something better than him, they would let him go.

Yet for now he sits here, wondering if his life will ever truly begin.
