Umi Feeds Miami! Umi Feeds Miami was awesome! "Food is more than a meal. It's an event. It's a celebration that's shared, savored and enjoyed." This past Sunday Umi Feeds was in Miami and we served 100 men and women, mostly men. Every feeding is different. Atlanta is different than Miami and New York. New York was different than Miami. We had no setup we just simply went where the people were, literally. We didn't just give out food, as important as that was, we also gave out love, time, compassion, smiles, gentleness and kindness. It's one thing to feed people, which is one of my favorite things to do but it's another to do it with your sister friends. We're all busy with this journey called life but when we can convene for a weekend and make this the plan, my heart was full.
