Brothers Keeper AU of Warhammer 40K

This is my idea of alternate timeline of Warhammer 40K. It is set during the Great Crusade, around the time period between 997.M30 & 998.M30, before the Imperial military fights the orks of Charhack for the Pargor Hith system. 16 Terran years after the founding of the last Primarch, Alpharius Omegon of the Alpha Legion.

An AU where 9 brothers decide to step up to help their 9 other brothers that would have fallen into Chaos in the main timeline, thus leading to an timeline where no Primarch betrayals happen.

And the legions that would be corrupted by Chaos otherwise become better versions of themselves.

Since The Emperor is very busy with the Great Crusade and being a complex case of a father to his Primarchs, the 9 Primarchs decided to help their brothers in a council-type of meeting at Baal, Sangunius' home planet, and home of the Blood Angels legion, during this little lull within the Great Crusade. Even with a lot of concerns and debating on what to do and how they should help their brothers and their legion.

But, Chaos committed an Great Heresy near the end of the 31st millennium still by throwing 4 kitchen sinks worth of forces against the Imperium to try and bring them down, alongside corrupting certain Space Marines, including First Captain Typhus of the Death Guard legion and First Captain Abaddon of the Luna Wolves legion, to become champions of Chaos and leader of the 4 huge Chaos forces, or waves, if you will. Especially coming from the systems of each of the 18 Primarchs, excluding the Sol System, where Terra is at, and the Imperium having to do damage control and contain the Chaos Forces.

The 9 brothers helping their 9 other brothers, even with a lot of clashes of ideals and them not thinking they want help getting over themselves, at first: 1) Lion El'Jonson of the Dark Angels helps Alpharius Omegon of the Alpha Legion. 2) Rogal Dorn of the Imperial Fists helps Fulgrim of the Emperor's Children. 3) Sanguinus of the Blood Angels helps Konrad Curze of the Night Lords. 4) Vulkan of the Salamanders helps Perturabo of the Iron Warriors. 5) Leman Russ of the Space Wolves helping Angron of the War Hounds/World Eaters. 6) Jaghatai Khan of the White Scars helps Mortarion of the Dusk Raiders/Death Guard. 7) Roboute Guilliman of the Ultramarines helps Magnus the Red of the Thousand Sons. 8) Ferrus Manus of the Iron Hands helps Horus Lupercal of the Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus. & 9) Corvus Corax of the Raven Guard helps Lorgar Aurelian of the Imperial Heralds/Word Bearers.

And then, a switch-up between the brothers to shake things up and push the betterment of the 9 Primarchs more, that would have been traitors in the main 30K timeline: 1) Vulkan & Roboute Guilliman helps Alpharius Omegon. 2) Lion El'Jonson helps Konrad Curze. 3) Sanguinus helps Magnus the Red & Mortarion. 4) Leman Russ helps Corvus Corax. 5) Fulgrim & Ferrus Manus helps Angron & Lorgar Aurelian. 6) Jaghatai Khan helps Perturabo. & 7) Rogal Dorn helps Horus Lupercal.

And that's the basic gist of this whole thing.

brainstorming: attributes/"who am i?" quiz

one of the earliest features we planned for chimera (back in 2024!) is the "who am i?" quiz.

this is inspired by those uquiz/quotev/etc answer percentages you can get after you take a quiz. the planned usage goes like this: - create a series of questions with brief multiple choice answers - each answer corresponds to one or more members in your system - when opening the "fronting page" of whatever system, you can tap the "who am i?" button to start the quiz - after selecting answers for all the questions, receive a list of who might be fronting, sorted by percentage of relevant answers

we've tooled around with this one on/off for ages. we thought about the answers being done uquiz style, where you "attach" members to each answer as you make it... but lately, we've been thinking about ways to track information beyond fields and groups, and it might slot in well here.

the idea is you can create "attributes" and assign those attributes to members like you're assigning groups. then, you can "automate" creating the quiz to some degree by having each question be, like, "which attribute applies?" and then you get the results that way. so then you can do updates quicker, and not have to manually add/remove individual members for x answer to y question each time something changes...

this might become a setting within chi groups ("set as attribute" or something), it might be its own feature... it's still a puzzle. we're enjoying brainstorming it though. i thought maybe y'all would have fun seeing the process 🩷

redrew a sortve height chart of my space crew <33 i rlly wanna redraw sm of their refs / art-- so many ideas but im so busy guhh (also i rlly love how Ex'ain turned out in this teehee)

NOW ONTO THE SILLY PART

Zeep!! My son-- i've been thinking more abt them and his species (species name pending, so im just calling em zorpian's // zorkian's guhh) Zorkian's are a rather uninformed species-- they adore uniformity and order. Their uniforms and space suits don't usually have a lot of variety, which goes for their formal wear as well!! The formal uniforms add skirts(?) (which are the only parts actually personalized, and are based on the zorkian's patterns), shoulder pads, and knee-high boots, and gauntlets.

And Valo!!

His species have very flowy formal outfits and are usually best worn when flying!! I want the green make-up to sorta resemble a creature from Valo's home planet, which probably was some sort of protector in ancient times for them!! ^^

Overall, im just trying to think up of formal outfits for my aliens :D I have a few ideas for everyone, but lets see ^^

It would be cool if there was a series called “deadly sins” where people are forced to do social taboos or just things that make people look down on them, because of their environments and/or home lives, and each volume/episode is focused on a different person and their issue,

Like one where there’s a kid that isn’t fed at home, so he has to eat a lot of food at school, but people shame him for it, he is under circumstances where he is forced to do what others shame him for, and that’s what every episodes about,

And the moral of the series would be to always have grace for others, and that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover
