A great day if firsts again for the #GLoH2018 students. Had our first cholla attack, first visit to a Classic period Pueblo, the Ancestral Tewa site of Tsankawi, first time walking in 600 year old paths worn into volcanic tuff, first time seeing Biscuit ware, first run-in with a skunk. With the field season approaching, I started thinking of cool finds. In 2016, working at the Upper Gila Preservation Archaeology field school, me and my students excavated an insanely awesome room. I'm highlighting some photos from there over the next few days.
