Former Den'emon Ito Residence Japanese Garden

The Former Den'emon Ito Residence had a stunning garden—tranquil and meticulously designed. Walking through it felt like stepping into a different era, with carefully pruned trees, elegant stone pathways, and a sense of calm that made me want to just sit and take it all in. The sunlight filtering through the leaves added a warm glow, making it the perfect spot to slow down and appreciate the beauty of traditional Japanese landscaping.

An announcement came out that ex-Suzuki Gun member Iizuka is having a cross-over release with a clothing company and Taichi has some concerns.

For those who haven't been following Taichi's side-business as a curse-banishing paranormal investigator, he's been managing the cursed Iron Fingers ever since they were handed down to him after Iizuka's retirement. On Taichi's last paranormal adventure, Iizuka was banished in time and space because Uemura hit him with a time-traveling car. But somehow, Iizuka is back?

Ishida, who did the video editing for the previous Hokkaido expedition tour, posts to say that he's arrived in Hokkaido by plane from Hiroshima, which is quite a distance away.

Seriously, to think you'd come here all the way from Hiroshima!

Takashi Iizuka talks about ‘Sonic Rangers’: “we will see an advancement in what a modern Sonic game can be.”

Takashi Iizuka, Sonic Studio creative officer, was recently interviewed about Sonic’s 30th Anniversary by GameInformer. Some details related to Sonic Colors Ultimate, Sonic Origins and Sonic Rangers were given.

Takashi was asked about the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on the celebration plans for Sonic’s 30th anniversary. Iizuka was upfront about it, and stated that he would be “lying if I said that the pandemic didn’t affect our plans at all.”

“We have been working from home at Sega of America since March of 2020, and while we have been effective at working from home, it did impact our plans. But we are not letting that stop us from executing on things as best as we can and have this be a memorable 30th anniversary for our fans.”

Sonic Colors Ultimate

When asked about Sonic Colours Ultimate, Iizuka expressed some of what he said in a previous interview with Famitsu. He says that he was well aware that the Sonic movie was a success, and as a result of this, he “wanted to deliver a title that would be a quintessentially Sonic title for these new people to experience.”

Sonic Origins

Sonic Origins is a new Sonic collection that’ll feature Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles and CD in a single package, and some questions related to it were made.

Iizuka expressed that seeing the old Genesis Sonic games being re-released in a 4:3 aspect ratio in modern consoles was antiquated, and he wanted to give fans a more modern experience with the release of Origins.

“We have released these titles many times in the past running on emulation but seeing that 4:3 screen ratio on modern 16:9 displays feels very retro. The concept behind Sonic Origins is to make these four legendary titles feel more modern. Of course, this means displaying the title in the full 16:9 screen formats of modern displays.”

Iizuka also said that fans can expect some new content being added into the classic titles for Origins, going beyond what some previous released versions offered, like the SEGA Ages versions of Sonic 1 and 2. He didn’t go into details on what could be expected, though.

“Sonic Origins will have features that not even the Sega Ages versions have. Not only will the playable game area be in the 16:9 format, but it will also be a multiplatform release of a title containing Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles, and CD.”

Sonic Origins will also be the first time in a decade that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles has been re-released, and Takashi has expressed excitement about it, saying that “having the chance to re-release this title after decades is something I am really looking forward to.”

Sonic Rangers

The next main Sonic game hasn’t had a title confirmed, but leaks from fans and SEGA themselves have stated that, at the moment, the next game will be named Sonic Rangers.

Takashi Iizuka thanked fans for their patience in regards to waiting for the next main Sonic game, and stated that after the release of Sonic Forces, Sonic Team in Japan was trying many different approaches to deliver a next-gen Sonic experience. It was also expressed that the team has been thinking about how a “modern gameplay experience should be for a Sonic title”, and that this game will probably define the path forward they plan to take for the next decade in the Sonic series.

I do believe we will see an advancement in what a modern Sonic game can be. Of course, we will not deny the high-speed action that characterized previous modern Sonic games like Sonic Generations or Sonic Forces, rather we will create a title that our current gaming fans and new gamers will enjoy.
