The Ghost King, Pariah Dark, wins.
Of course he does, he is all powerful. That runt of a ghost who fought against him was strong. Given time, he would surely be capable of overtaking Pariah. It would be better to End the young ghost now… and yet, he is impressed.
It has been far too long since he has had another Knight. And now that he is finally free of the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, he will need another strong ghost to take the place of the traitor he Ended who assisted in trapping him.
With this in mind, rather then immediately Ending the young ghost, he instead offered him the position of one of his Knight’s.
It’s less an offer and more of an order, really.
However, for some reason, Phantom doesn’t fall under his command. The ghostling continues to stand in front of the humans in a foolish attempt at protecting them.
Pariah’s dark mind swirls, and he changes his proposition:
“I am the Ghost King. All eventually fall under my jurisdiction. Young Ghost, should you take up the position of Knight under my command, I shall spare the humans of this one town. They will get to live the rest of their lives and, when they, too, meet their deaths, I shall not, unprovoked, destroy their cores and End them forever.”
And, as is always the case for Pariah Dark, Ghost King of the Infinite Realms, he wins again.
