Following the end of The Golf War, as Ford becomes increasingly entrenched in his relationship with Bill, Stan and Fiddleford grow closer.
During their roadtrip with Grauntie Mabel, the two boys decide to try and take their adolescent romance in a more serious direction, but just end up feeling awkward— until they start to genuinely bond due to a combination of Mabel’s romantic advice and their mutual exasperation of Bill.
