Naruto is the Sun. He gives life to those around him just y being there. He isn't always thought about, but everyone would notice his absence. He holds more power then most can imagine. He's so bright, it hurts to look at him sometimes.
Sasuke is the moon. He fluctuates, there one day and gone the next, but always in cycles known only by those that bother to study him. He shines and stands out and is a beacon of beauty in the abyss of night that he calls home. He is only as bright as he is because of the influence of his Sun.
Naruto is the sun, lonely and destined to chase the moon, and Sasuke is the moon, isolated and destined to run from the sun for fear of getting burned. Any one who watched them for half an hour could make the comparison.
What's lesser known is that Sakura is their sky. She fills up all the gaps in-between, occupies the space no one thinks about. A bridge between the sun and the moon and the stars, and then between them and the world. She's the one in control, an unseen and unthought-of force that keeps everything running. She bends herself around the moon to hide him when he doesn't want to be seen. She covers the sun with rain clouds when people stop appreciating it, until they can't help but long for his return and admire the sun for all he does. She's selfish, and she will never let anyone else touch them because they're hers.
What no one realizes is that Sai is the stars. Hidden behind the sun, melancholicly accompanying the moon, and in cahoots with the sky. Glossed over, admired and awed, but no one could dream of reaching him. he's not selfish, never learned to take, so he makes himself content with what he gets; the rare peaks of the sun he allows himself, the silent acceptance of the moon, the ever present companionship of the sky. It isn't much, but it's all he has and all he couldn't live without. He's versatile and spread out, and can't fathom being worth the absolute titans who've decided to count him as their own. He twinkles as bright as he can and hopes that it's enough.
Team 7, individually, are each their own brand of insanely, mind bogglingly powerful, and few these days would even call them human. Team 7, together, are akin to cosmic entities hellbent on improving the world below them and insistant that they will do it together.
Team 7, together, has nothing to fear and no one that can stand in their way.
