I have very mixed feelings about the Final Fifteen, and I am also procrastinating, so let's just spew them into tumblr.
Obviously. A lot of messy complicated emotions went into that kiss, and those two supernatural idiots are terrible with simple feelings let alone complicated ones, so who's surprised. For Crowley, it was almost a desperate 'don't leave me' kind of thing. For Aziraphale, it was Very Complicated And Scary because
a) he knows he loves Crowley, he's been lip staring for about 6000 years and doing so tenfold in the last 4 (we can assume), he wants to kiss him and be with him forever without Heaven and Hell breathing down their necks about it but
b) crowley is a demon, they just had a fight, aziraphale is angry and stressed tf out, and he probably doesn't think he can or should be with Crowley right now both because Heaven Brainwashing and also because its genuinely kinda unsafe.
So his reaction to The Kiss is for the most part, negative. For most of the kiss he doesn't seem to be pushing Crowley away but he is clearly uncomfortable with it aside from that one point where he puts his hands on Crowley's back and for a split second its an actual (still painful and sad) reciprocated kiss.
So on the one hand, i know all of the things behind it are Complicated and Messy and I know that Aziraphale is not agaisnt the idea of kissing Crowley but I am also sort of.........idk i feel like Crowley should've stopped sooner, when it became clear that Az wasn't going to kiss him back. And because of that the Kiss kind of bothers me, which I'm okay with so long as it gets addressed and talked through in season 3.
