What makes you think that? Are you referring to the way I do the character analysis? Or my writing style? Anon, AI steals writers' writing styles. But honestly, comments like that don't surprise me.

I guess my writing gave you a strange feeling? I usually summarize my ideas, write them down in my notes, formulate them over and over, and search high and low for connecting words that sound appropriate.

It feels awful to know my writing gives off an AI vibe. It's terrifying. Good heavens…

This made me feel incredibly insecure about my writing. And terrified of artificial intelligence. Is a machine really capable of expressing as many emotions as a human being? This idea scares me, especially since I'm already so insecure about my writing. Because you wouldn't believe how many university papers I've had rejected, assumed to be AI because they're well-written… just so they can see me write them from scratch in person and confirm that's how I write. This makes me think it's better to stop writing altogether if the world today calls everything well-written AI every time, even when it isn't… What a way to discourage a writer…

Anyone Who Says Fan Fiction is Easy is Selling Something

Writing fan fiction is so tough for me. I try really hard to write the characters true to their actual personalities, but feel like I’m not doing a good job or don’t know the characters well enough to portray them well. Then I lose motivation because I feel like I suck. Makes for some hair pulling experiences.

Insecure Ramblings Of An Exhausted Author

So, I’m sorta at a standstill when it comes to actually writing Can I Love You right now. I was doing great until I started thinking about what other people might think of it. That’s pretty much killed me.

I’m trying to write a healthy, happy relationship, which is something I don’t have any experience with. I’m trying to show that two damaged people can make something work because they’re not the things that hurt them. I wanna write something I think is beautiful.

But here’s where I’m getting hung up. The point I’m at in it is 2 1/2 months into their relationship. They’re sorta living together because Damon is broke and can’t afford getting a place of his own after his apartment building burns down. So, yeah, little fast, I know, but I know people who have moved faster. Anyway, what’s hanging me up is this: I feel like everyone is going to be unhappy because they haven’t had sex yet at this point. I myself feel like they’re not at a point in their relationship where either of them would be comfortable with it. Because they’re still getting used to being a couple.

I’ve only had one relationship btw. It did not end well and I’m more than willing to tell the story if y’all are interested because I find it amusing in it’s absurdity.

Sometimes I look at my writing and cringe so hard. In the moment, writing it feels so exciting and good, then I read it again later and feel like clawing my skin off. I consider removing stuff I feel that about, but get nervous—just in case someone else enjoyed it.

Or smt I consider rewriting it into something I’m more proud of, but again I get nervous.

Smt I write things readers might enjoy (based on how much engagement it gets), and sacrifice my own comfort.

I get really excited when readers like my work, that I let those feelings control the content I come up with. I end up forgetting that I’m writing for myself first.

Also, while I’m here, looking at the content I write, what would you label it as. I don’t write NSFW, but I also feel like it isn’t smth minors should read? It’s closed door, but occasionally suggestive. However I’d love to make my content readable to all, bc there are such limited blogs with minor safe fics, and I’d love to be able to provide that to readers.

(Also what is the definition of fauxest. I think I’ve been using it incorrectly, and I’d hate to mistag my work. This also might be my biggest problem with wanting my fics to be safe.)

Is it possible to write fics purely safe for minors to read, while also having other fics that are still closed door but for non-minors to read? Is tagging each fic enough, or do people just generally block blogs that have those tags?

I’m not really sure how tumblr works all that well.

I don’t really know how to go about this. I could use some advice HAHAHA
