Me: can I please just write my story that is basically a compiled fanfiction collage of every piece of media I have ever fixated on and listen to angry music in peace please??

My brain: are you sure? There seems like better things to do. You have like three unfinished tv shows.

Me: but those can wait!

My brain: ok fine, you don't have to watch those, but you do have to binge the entire first season of the walking dead in one day.

[Will] brought the Signs closer and closer to the twisted old face, until, like a piece of breaking wire, the Walker's self-control snapped. He shrieked and began to babble and thrash about, screaming for help. Will ran outside and called for his father, and half the family came running. ... One thing nagged in Will's mind. It's interesting to me how much the Walker eludes Will's understanding. Will recognizes that the man is pursued by the Dark and also doesn't trust Will or the rest of the Old Ones. Yet he's capable of speaking and understanding the language that ordinary humans don't. There are not so many people in the world who fit that description.

There are some days when the fight with yourself is more difficult than usual. It’s when the voices in your head get louder and angrier and no amount of external validation and pep talk can help you get through it. It feels like every flaw, every lack, every sin, every mistake you did presented itself to you in a heap. No one’s counting, but knowing and believing are two different things and the thin line in between is what makes the difference. May these times when your self-worth is being tested be the time when you detach yourself from your thoughts. May this be the time when you try to look back and appreciate how much progress you already did. May this be the time that you remind yourself that even if you don’t like where you are right now, there are still many tomorrows and you can always change course. May this be the time that you choose kindness for yourself instead of judgement. May this be the time that you accept things as they are right now, but hope that life is still unfolding and you still have time.

Battle Of Fear

I march into battles,

Most people run from.

I keep my head up and strong.

So many let fear scare them off,

They runaway.

I fear what I would lose,

If I gave in.

So I push through and push on.

I won’t let my scars win.

Even if I’m crying,

Even if my heart is oozing,

I continue carrying on.

This is my life.

And I will stay strong.

I will survive this fight.

Suffering in silence because you’re afraid to express how you feel

Not giving yourself the space to let go

Not allowing yourself to fully heal

Pent up emotions breaking your body down in order to escape

Whilst you slowly wither away

Loosing your grace

Being the toxic one was never your place

Yet you get to take responsibility for the pain that you caused

Beating yourself into the grave,

Without a second thought.
