summary - you and Katsuki Bakugou are back to do another fun interview, who knows each other best!
The camera pans in. You’re sitting a little closer than last time, your knee brushing Katsuki’s. He’s relaxed, legs spread slightly, arm resting on the back of your chair like it belongs there.
“And action.”
You smile. “Hi, I’m Y/N”
“I’m Dynamight.”
“And we’re back with GQ,” you finish, holding up the cards.
“Today we’re doing a couples quiz who knows who best.”
Bakugou scoffs. “Obviously me.”
You explain the concept. “We each answer questions about the other. If they get it wrong, we expose them. If they get it right, I get bragging rights.”
“I get bragging rights,” he corrects.
The crew laughs.
“Alright,” you say, flipping the first card. “Let’s start with Y N answering about me.”
You crack your knuckles. “Easy.”
ROUND ONE
You grab the first card dramatically.
He watches you carefully. “Don’t embarrass yourself.”
“Never.”
1. What’s a hidden talent that I have?
You grin immediately.
“Dancing. Specifically hip hop”
The interviewer looks shocked. “Dancing?”
You nod enthusiastically. “I was surprised too but don’t be fooled, Katsuki is actually good at dancing and I would know because I’m a dancer myself.”
He leans back smugly. “Told you.”
“You’ve got rhythm,” you admit.
“Obviously.”
He looks very proud of himself.
2. What’s my favorite food?
“Sichuan mapo tofu. Extra spicy.”
He nods once. “Correct.”
“He literally made me learn how to cook it properly.”
“Because you kept messing it up.”
“It was still good!”
“It was mid.”
You gasp.
3. What’s my biggest pet peeve?
“You hate when people underestimate you. Or talk down to you.”
He gives a slow nod. “Yeah.”
The crew goes quiet for a second.
You bump his shoulder. “But you also hate slow walkers.”
“That’s a crime.”
4. Do I have any allergies?
You flip the card.
“Yes, pineapple.”
He grimaces immediately.
He nods. “Good.”
You look at the camera. “He found out about the pineapple the hard way.”
“Don’t.”
“You broke out in hives and tried to pretend it was fine.”
“I was fine.”
“You were itchy.”
You and the crew laugh.
5. What’s a weird question you’ve been wanting to ask me but never got around to?
You read it and immediately start smirking.
“Oh this is evil.”
He narrows his eyes. “What.”
You look at him innocently. “If you knew people wrote fanfics about you and whether you’ve read them.”
The room erupts.
He goes stiff.
“Oooo,” you drag out.
“Don’t start with me.”
The interviewer leans forward. “Have you read them?”
He rubs his neck, ears pink.
“I only read them because she made me.”
You clap. “Ha.”
“They’re surprisingly accurate,” he mutters.
The crew screams.
“But it’s creepy!” he adds quickly. “How do they know I’d say half that stuff?”
You’re laughing so hard you can barely breathe.
ROUND TWO
He exhales. “Alright. My turn.”
You smirk. “Don’t choke.”
“I won’t.”
1. What’s my favorite nickname for you?
“Suki and Baby.”
He answers instantly.
You beam. “Correct.”
He pretends not to react but his ears are red.
“Don’t look at me like that,” he mutters.
2. What was the name of my first dog?
“Chewy.”
“Yes!” you clap.
“Easy.”
3. What’s my coffee order?
He raises a brow.
“Trick question.”
You try not to smile.
“You don’t have one cuz you hate coffee. You drink lemon ginger tea.”
You point at him dramatically. “Yesss, good job baby! I was trying to trick you!”
He leans back smug. “You think I don’t know that?”
4. What did I originally go to UA for, and what did I end up studying?
“Hero course first,” he says.
You nod.
“Then you switched to Support. Work under Recovery Girl. You handle medical and gear adjustments.”
You smile softly.
“I only did the hero course because my parents were famous heroes and I thought I should follow in their footsteps,” you explain. “But it wasn’t right for me. So I switched to medicine and support gear. It suits me better.”
You glance at him. “Now when Katsuki needs adjustments to his gear, I’m the girl. Same when he’s hurt.”
The crew says, “Awww.”
He looks at you warmly before clearing his throat and turning to the camera.
“I got a double threat over here.”
You melt. “Thanks, babe.”
5. How many languages can I speak?
“Three. English, Japanese, and Korean.”
The interviewer looks stunned. “Three?”
You nod. “I’m half Japanese, half Korean.”
The crew murmurs.
“She teaches me some Korean,” he adds casually.
You light up. “Yeah, and he’s actually good!”
“I’m decent.”
“I’m very happy he wants to learn my language just for me.”
“Don’t make it sappy.”
“You love it.”
“…Yeah.”
You guys finished your sets of questions but you waited to do your little prank. The interviewer grins. “Final bonus question. What’s Y N’s biggest fear?”
He answers instantly.
“Losing the people she loves.”
You stare at him.
“…Wrong.”
Silence.
His head snaps toward you. “What.”
“That’s not it.”
“Yes it is.”
“Nope. It’s getting sick from something that’s incurable”
“TF, NO THE HELL IT ISN’T.” He leans forward. “You literally told me that.”
The crew is shaking trying not to laugh.
You keep your face straight. “Not my biggest fear.”
He’s fully crashing out now. “Don’t play with me right now.”
You burst out laughing.
“I’m kidding, Suki. You got it.”
He freezes.
“…What.”
“I just wanted a reaction.”
The crew explodes.
He leans back slowly.
You grin. “You were about to fight someone.”
“I was about to fight you.”
“But you love me.”
He exhales sharply. “You’re annoying.”
You kiss his cheek.
He mutters, but he’s smiling.
