Hello! I am a student of education, meaning I learn about learning! It’s awesome, but I need help from others to discuss topics of education from art!

I am looking for interviewees for a paper I am writing for a course about learning from cultural methods. I am writing about how we learn from art, and art as a learning environment. A part of my thesis for this essay is that:

1. Video games are art

2. Disco Elysium is a learning environment

my name is ami and i’m going into my last year of uni. for one of my classes we need to conduct a research project regarding media to some capacity and i chose online discussions of race in fantasy media.

Interview request - mental health and academic unions

I’m currently writing an article about whether or not academic unions can improve mental health among grad students, PhD’s, postdocs and adjuncts. Even if you haven’t really thought about your union, maybe some of the things that they’ve guaranteed you have (or haven’t!) affected your life. Maybe the mental health benefits or medical insurance got you some good meds. Or maybe an hour cap has let you spend more time with your family and now you’re happier. Or maybe you don’t have a union but you want one because you want to be able to afford to keep yourself mentally healthy. Or maybe the union made your mental health worse somehow. Either way, I want to hear from you. I’d prefer if I could use your real name but you can be anonymous if you really, really need to be.

If a group is represented by a union, all people in that group, regardless of whether they pay union dues, have the same benefits. From what I understand, the following universities have union contracts, although they vary on whether they apply to TA’s, adjuncts or grad students: All University of California campuses, Rutgers, CUNY, NYU, several SUNY campuses, Temple, U of Kansas, UMass Lowell, Boston, and Amherst, U of Iowa, Wayne State, U Wisconsin, Madison, U of Oregon, U of Florida, Florida A&M, U of South Florida, U of Washington, U of Rhode Island, U of Toronto, Penn, MacMaster, and U of British Columbia.
