I know that intruloceit is the common ot3 going around, and that dynamic makes sense, but intrumoceit is just as compelling for almost the exact same reasons
Give me Remus showing Patton it's okay to make messes and them making impulsive 3 am baking disasters with Janus rolling his eyes fondly as he goes about cleaning up after them
Give me Patton surprising Remus by treating one of his latest paintings (as gruesome and gory as it is) with care and propping it up gently after Remus haphazardly tosses it aside when he deems it finished or gets bored, only to have Patton rush over and dust it off, because that's what he would do to one of Roman's projects. It's just the first time Remus has ever seen his work treated so gently before, and he's floored.
Give me Janus ranting and pacing while Remus lays on the couch gnawing on something inedible like a chew toy that Janus conjures for him, just like old times, except now there's Patton sitting in between them too, with Remus' head pillowed on his lap and watching fondly as Janus rambles
Their dynamic isn't perfect, and it's especially wobbly at first, but Patton is still struck by how perfectly he fits between the two of them, and how quickly he becomes endeared by them.
It makes him feel all the more guilty for shutting them out in the first place, despite their constant reassurances that they enjoy being the vagabonds their roles made them, but still.
Patton allows himself to mourn the memories they could have made together, and the time they wasted to get here. Patton is big enough to admit that now, even as he savors the time they spend as a newfound family.
