The longest journey is the journey inward.
-Dag Hammarskjold,
And sometimes, when I reach those dark moments,
the underworlds of my own underworld,
it’s almost as if that same darkness spits me back out and whispers, no child,
you’re not as lost as you think you are.
You don’t belong here.
New work by Cinta Vidal in Marina Del Rey to coincide with the opening of her solo show ‘Inward’ at Thinkspace Gallery.
The most intimate relationship we can share with another is a soul connection. Physical and emotional intimacy are profound human experiences of sharing, but when we connect our true self to another true self, we experience a spiritual love and joy that goes beyond personal pleasure or affection.
Centering thought for today is:
I am growing into spiritual union with my true self.
A Time for Everything.
You look at any relationship, from the most basic to the most advanced, from the shallowest to the deepest, from the most frivolous to the most sacred - there is some level of expectation in each of these. There's only one exception and that's the relationship with yourself. This is the only domain where there's absolutely zero expectations. You're perfectly OK with the way you are. You're perfectly OK with your messiness, your own unique awkwardness, your weaknesses. You're not enforcing yourself to be anyone. Just as you are, comfortable in one's own skin. Now that's liberation. The art of being at ease with oneself. No competition with any. No comparison to any. No judgements, non-opinionated. This is the only relationship - one with yourself - where you can find your peace, your home, your heaven. The minute you step out, there's chaos. Someone must learn to step into this safe zone and in that auspicious moment alone will one taste the sweetness of union. So go deeper and deeper into yourself, ever settling there. The minute you're deeply rooted in yourself, that's when the universe itself will seek to find its shelter in something larger than itself - the human soul...
