The door sounded with a quiet, welcoming ding as the elevator arrived on your floor, the lights of your suite already on and pleasantly dimmed to accommodate to the tenderness of your eyes this late at night. It was a little before three in the morning, and while your flight had had no major issues and the traffic between the airport and Avengers Tower had been blessedly in your favor, it was still agonizing to be getting home so late.
Home.
It still surprised you how quickly you’d come to think of this place as more than just a place to sleep, more than what had originally felt like a ridiculously over-sized hotel room. It had been only six months since Loki’s attack on New York, and while the renovations to the Tower were not yet finished, your suite had been one of the first floors to be completed. And now it somehow felt far more familiar to you than any of the countless beds you had claimed over the last twenty-seven years.
“Welcome back, Ms. Y/L/N,” the cool, friendly voice of Tony’s personal assistant sounded from the invisible speakers above you. “I trust your journey was pleasant.”
“It was, for a nine-hour flight in a broken seat,” you replied with a sigh, stretching out the lingering kink in your lower back. You set your suitcase down by the elevator doors. “And how many times do I have to tell you; it’s just Y/N.”
“I’m sure only once more,” he replied. “As always.”
You chuckled, a small, tired smile lingering on your lips. “Are the others here?”
“Only Mr. Stark is in residence at the moment,” the A.I. informed you as you made your way further into your suite. You toed off your shoes, shedding your jacket and tossing it onto the nearby sofa. “Shall I inform him of your arrival?”
“Oh, no, I don’t want to wake him.”
There was a slight pause. “Mr. Stark is not asleep, Ms. Y/L/N.”
How an A.I. could have a variation in tone, you weren’t sure, but you stopped halfway to unbuttoning your jeans. “And how long exactly has Tony been awake?”
“…Almost eighty-three hours, ma’am.”
“I think I hate ‘ma’am’ even more than my last name.” you sighed, casting a glance towards the room to your left. The door was ajar, and you swore your bed was calling to you. “Where is he?”
“In the lab.”
“…Okay.”
***
A wall of sound greeted you as you stepped into the lab, and you flinched. It lowered immediately to a more bearable level, and you silently praised whatever part of JARVIS’ programming it was that could pick up on your discomfort like that.
“JARVIS,” Tony said without looking up from his work. “Don’t mess with my music.”
He was at the far end of the lab, moving between a couple of workbenches and the hologram of his latest designs with the disorganized, staccato rhythm you had begun to recognize as being a sign of sleep deprivation. There was a half-empty coffee pot on the bench closest to you, the scent of it gone stale. Tony’s clothes were rumpled, as was his hair, and you frowned when you noticed the shadows under his eyes. They were made darker by the blue light of the hologram between the two of you.
“I think we can do better on these reflector panels, J.,” he continued as though he hadn’t noticed you enter. “If this suit is going to work for stealth, I’m going to need the change to be instantaneous.” He waved a hand, and parts of the suit projected in front of him dropped away. “Scrap ‘em. Take it from the top.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Hello to you, too, Stark.” you said snidely despite your concern. “Or am I expected to call you ‘sir’ in here, too?”
“Only if you want me to get all tingly over it,” he retorted teasingly, finally pausing long enough to meet your eye. He gave you a genuine, if distracted and exhausted, smile.
“Most people just say ‘welcome home’.”
Tony returned to one of the benches, eyes fixating on a tablet screen. “Are you implying that I could possibly be ‘most people’?”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” you replied, sidestepping an abandoned helmet prototype. There was an empty coffee mug sitting inside it. The crockery was stained with dark brown rings. You made you way around to his workbench, pushing yourself up to sit on the edge of it beside him. “Tony, when was the last time you got some sleep?”
“You know the answer to that,” he said, pointedly avoiding your eye and focusing his gaze on the work in front of him. “Or did you come all the way down here just for a hug?”
“A hug? Hardly,” you said with a scoff.
Tony met your eye, raising a brow. There was a teasing tilt to his lips, a challenge in his expression. “I don’t accept that.”
“Accept what?”
“I can’t believe that you don’t like hugs.” he said, straightening. He moved to stand in front of you, his hands claiming your knees. You felt a warmth spread up from where he touched you to heat your belly, and you straightened slightly, wetting your lips with the tip of your tongue. “I refuse to accept it. I mean, for a woman completely capable of breaking every bone in my body with her bare hands, you’re downright cuddly.”
As he said the last words he reached up and touched the tip of his finger to your nose tauntingly, and you wrinkled it in response. He chuckled, and you rolled your eyes at him. Something about sleep deprivation always made him lighter, more teasing. While his usual jokes were witty and occasionally flirty, when you found him like this, he was… softer. “Has anyone ever told you that you are a massive dork?”
Tony’s grin widened, and he stepped back, holding up his hands as though you’d just proved his point. “See, anyone else would call me an asshole, but you – sweet, innocent thing that you are – go with ‘dork’.”
“Oh, Stark. Trust me,” you snickered, pushing yourself up off the edge of the table. It closed much of the distance between the two of you, your chest almost meeting his. You made a show of casting your eyes down over him before meeting his eye with a smirk. “If you actually knew me, the last word you’d be using to describe me is ‘innocent’.”
Intrigue flashed in his eyes, a curve to his parted lips sending an unexpected thrill up your spine. He made move to speak, but you pressed a finger to his lips. His smile widened against your skin.
“I’m sure whatever you were about to say would have been rife with innuendo, Tony,” you said. “But honestly, you kind of stink. How long’s it been since you had a shower?”
***
“Y’know, I’m not really sure why I had to stick around for this.” you called out over the sound of rushing water, folding your arms over your chest. You were standing outside the penthouse bathroom, your back against the wall beside the door. Steam billowed out of the open doorway, clinging to your bare arms.
The water shut off, and Tony’s reply came a few moments later, his voice echoing off the tile. “And here I thought you were worried about my wellbeing, sweetheart.”
“You’re not exactly at risk of drowning in the shower, Tony,” you pointed out. You heard his answering chuckle and the sounds of cabinet doors opening and closing. There was a long silence, punctuated only by the quiet sounds of shaving cream being sprayed and a razor against skin. “And you survived it. So, can I go to bed now?”
“And miss out on this quality team-bonding time?” he called out. “Shudder to think.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes with a smile. “‘Team-bonding’? We’re missing a couple of key members here. Unless you’ve got Rogers stashed in your shower caddy.”
“Not exactly the member I’d pick for that,” he replied as he stepped through the doorway, wiping at his jaw with a towel. Another was slung securely around his hips. Rivulets of water marked his bare torso, droplets clinging to his chest. There was a teasing smirk on his lips, and you swallowed. “Now, Romanoff on the other hand—”
“I’m going to stop you there before this conversation devolves into casual misogyny,” you eye-rolled, holding up a hand.
“I’ll have you know I’m an equal opportunity lech.” Tony shot back, amused. “I just didn’t think Thor would fit in the caddy.”
You snorted a laugh.
“Right…” you said. He’d missed a tiny patch of shaving cream on the corner of his jaw, and you reached up to wipe it away with two fingers. Tony’s smile widened as you wiped it on his bare chest. You cleared your throat as you realized the intimacy of your actions. “Well, you’ve managed to navigate the perils of a penthouse bathroom, Iron Man. Congrats.”
“So, what’s your excuse now?”
Confusion creased the skin between your brows. “For what?”
Tony’s smirk twitched, and you recognized the challenge in his eyes. Something in the pit of your stomach fluttered. “For turning down a hug.”
You laughed, shaking your head disbelieving. “God, Stark, you are such a—”
Tony took hold of your arm, surprising you by pulling you toward him and bringing his lips to yours. They were soft and warm, teasing with the taste of spearmint. The clean scent of his body wash enveloped you, his fingers gentle but firm on your arm. The warmth of his body – still bolstered by the heat of the shower – leached into your skin, wrapping you in a ghost of an embrace that made you lean into him. The kiss lasted only a moment before he pulled back again, that expression of taunting flirtation still in place.
You pressed your lips together, your skin tingling. “What was that for?”
He shrugged a shoulder, tightening the towel around his waist. There was an annoying note of nonchalance in his expression, and self-assuredness that told you he knew exactly what kind of effect he’d just had on you. “Call it a thank you.”
“I—” you swallowed, forcing your breath to steady. “Most people just say ‘thank you’.”
He grinned, his teeth grazing his bottom lip. “Didn’t we agree that I’m not ‘most people’?”
Warnings: Fluff, mentions of a gun going off, a little bit of scolding, dd/lg dynamics, pet names (mouse), let me know if I missed anything!
Request given by my draga 🐉 anon: Tony Stark just finding little reader tempering with his gear (can it be gn)
A/n: My first request for the little blurb request thing I did! (Linked is the request form:)) and yes 🐉 you did great on the form:)
"Oh little mouse? Where are you?" Tony said, scurrying through the compound. Worried about his little mouse, he taps into his watch on his wrist and pulls up his tracker that is connected to your friendship bracelet he made you. But before he can find your signal a loud bang is heard. His head snaps up and he follows the smoke from down the hallway.
Once he meets the sight of smoke and a fairly large hole in the wall, he peaks his head in through the door. "My little mouse, what on earth are you doing in here?" Hearing his voice makes you drop his hand blaster and run to him.
"Dada!" You run to him, leaping into his arms with a giggle. Being in your little space, you don't account for the danger of some of his gear.
"Hey, can you listen to me please," Tony says, putting you down on the floor and kneeling so you're looking down at him. "You know the rule of staying out of daddy's things." You nod slowly, starting to tear up.
In a wobbly voice you let out an apology, "Sowwy dada, don wanna get in twoble... I jus cuwious!" You justify your behavior by saying your curiosity got the better of you, and Tony just can't resist your cuteness.
"Alright, come here you little bugger." He smiles and picks you up, your giggles filling his ear. "JARVIS can you get someone to um- patch the hole in the wall please?" And with that, it was off to get ice cream with your daddy!

Summer set in quick and you just weren’t ready, constantly having stayed inside whether or not you were regressed or not didn't help how you hoped, the heat getting to your head bearing everything unbelievably boring and numbingly warm.
Hanging out in the workshop was a slight calm to the storm brewing upon you.
Everyone could see you were out of it and fighting regressing for the sake of just wanting to be okay.
You had started making your way to the lab where tony was preoccupied with a mission setup, when you passed by Steve in the kitchen talking to Bucky, looking over at his shoulder to see you grumpy and uncomfortable
"Hey bub where you headed off to?"
All he got back was a grumble in return
Following behind you after dismissing the conversation with Bucky.
he was genuinely worried knowing you get grouchy when you don't regress and that tony was reluctantly preoccupied for the next couple hours he decided he would step in.
" i know he’s busy right now and that’s the last thing you want to hear but would you like to go for a walk to help ease your mind while you wait?"
Stopping and looking back you really didn't feel amazing but that didn't mean you would pass up fun time with uhbuh Steve, you nod and he takes your hand shooting a quick message to stark to let him know where you’re gonna be.
Steve and you leave the tower walking in the morning sun, it wasn't beating down just yet but that didn't stop him from packing extra water in your small backpack.
Eventually you find a little shop with fun and captivating knickknacks and trinkets galore, looking at toys and coloring books with a few items put in your basket including matching rings that would be wonderful as an unannounced gift for tony, Steve had bought you stickers, a new coloring book and markers.
He noticed you were getting tired and figured it’d me good to get you back to the tower, thinking stark should be done soon. And so your adventure embarked hand in slack hand.
The walk was exhausting and you were starting to feel unwell, you were sluggish and flushed, really not into much movement. even after drinking plenty of water, taking a break in a cool shaded area you still seemed really out of it so he decided no better option to carry you piggy back style back to the tower the remaining blocks.
By the time you got back to the tower you were very flush and dazed still fighting regression Steve took you straight to where he knew tony would be.
The moment you and Stevie got through the door you reached out to tony just wanting him to hold you, maybe he could make the neusea and pounding in your head go away, maybe he could make your chest feel less tight and stuffy.
"Oh kiddo what’s goin on? What happened?"
He questions as he takes you into his arms, taking the bag with a thank you as well.
You don’t respond, just dropping your head to his shoulder, finally finding a bit of peace in his hold, "C’mon petal you’ve gotta let me know or doctor daddy will prescribe tickles"
Not even pulling a giggle out of you, you must not be feeling well.
"You feeling ick petal?"
You nod against his shoulder burrowing your head into the crook of his neck practically asleep at this point.
He takes you to your shared room and making sure the air conditioning is on, a vomit bucket next to your side of the bed and he has you curled up in his arms
"Did you have fun with uhbuh steve?"
You look up from your hands with a grin, nodding, reaching out for the bag.
He hands it to you letting you show him what you got, pulling out the box with the matching rings and handing them to him, putting the rest of the stuff in the bag on the floor and curling up under the blanket on your side.
"Ohh look at these bub these are wonderful, we'll look at them even more when you’re feeling better" he states, pulling you up to cuddle into his side, my love you must really not be feeling well, you feel extra warm to the touch. You nod into his chest, your head feeling stuffed and dull, like someone is trying to open your skull like a geode, a throbbing spinning pain that all you wish to do is ignore it, the sound of the show on the tv too invasive and the feeling of the heat against you skin burning under a fresh layer of cool from the air conditioner.
Your daddy’s left hand holding you close and his right rubbing patterns between your shoulders lulling you into a dreamless sleep.
A sleep that lasted but 45 minutes, before your stomach turned and lurched in a matter of seconds, your eyes barely open when you reach out for the vomit bucket, retching until your stomach deems that it is done expelling bile. Tony brushing the stray hairs and sweat from your forehead and rubbing your back, when you stop he takes the bucket to the bathroom emptying it, returning it to its place and grabbing a cold sippy of water from the mini fridge in the room.
"Oh my dove you’re okay, I’ve got you" tears falling down your heated cheeks cooling valleys into your delicate skin.
"Dun ike it, ake it stop" you whine out latching onto your daddy sobbing into his chest, all he can do is hold you as he feels useless not being able to make you feel better.
After a few minutes you finally calm down pulling away letting him ease you to drinking the water and letting you settle in his arms listening to his arc reactor send pulses through itself. Taking the sippy and setting it aside, he wipes your tears away kissing your forehead and giving you your paci, soothing you back to sleep, your mind and body encased in the feeling of his chest rising and falling.
In all honesty not only did things like this help you when you’re little but they also help him catch up on well needed sleep.
You wake to your daddy fully asleep arms tightly wrapped around your waist, a strike of peace you rarely see on his face. Wriggling out of his hold you grab the stickers and colors from the bag and your comfort stuffy from the bed, going over to the mat on the floor with all your little stuff, a small coffee table the perfect height to sit on the floor and reach to color and play with the stickers, decorating the table along with your journal, your stuffy watching you make chaos without realizing your daddy sat up watching you have a blast undisturbed giggles and coos of joy.
Your stuffy falls over and your daddy pucks you up setting you on his hip and dancing you around, "looks like my baby feels better hm? You nod in agreement.
The rest of your day continues as if you were never sick, maybe it was the heat, maybe it had been how long it was since you were little, or possibly even how much you missed your daddy but alas you feel much better and that’s all that matters.

Thank you so much for your request!! And a reminder to all who want to request something from me, i have no limits on how many times yall can request storys
Tony enjoys playfully teasing others, anyway. So you being so easy to fluster would be a huge advantage for him.
He’d think it was cute if he actually managed to make you blush, too. Anything that showed you were visibly worked up.
He’d also like if if you lightly hit him on the arm or scolded him for doing or saying something to purposefully bother you.
If others were around, depending on your comfort level with it, he’d amp it up. If you didn’t want anyone to hear the things he said, he’d say it quietly so only you could hear.
Speaking of others, some of his colleagues may chime in with a, “Tony, leave her alone.” To which he’ll respond, “she likes it” followed by a wink.
Tony can be straight up annoying, so he’ll reuse material more than once if it makes you squirm.
Curiosity Killed the Cat Burglar (Tony Stark X Reader)
ANONYMOUS: You write for marvel? Awesome! Ive always wondered ehat would happen if someone tried to reverse engineer one of Tony's suits just for curiosity instead of evil or money... could you write something where Tony finds reader doing something like that? Thanks!!
Summary: You’ve been training yourself for months for this mission (not even counting the time you’d spent learning all the skills you would need in order to even make it a possibility), and now you’re finally here, so close to what you’ve been waiting for for so long…it almost feels too easy.
You’ve been training yourself for months for this mission (not even counting the time you’d spent learning all the skills you would need in order to even make it a possibility), and now you’re finally here, so close to what you’ve been waiting for for so long… it almost feels too easy.
You’d spent weeks perfecting the software that let you into the Stark Industries mainframe so you could access the blueprints of the ventilation system. You’d taken great lengths to memorise the layout; you could recreate the map flawlessly if called upon to do so. You’d made a backup plan for absolutely anything and everything that could possibly go wrong.
And now that it’s working, it just doesn’t feel right.
As you slip into the elevator, pressing the button that will take you to the floor housing Stark’s workshop with a gloved hand, you have the distinct sensation of being watched. You send an uneasy glance around the elevator and are unable to detect any cameras, but you’re well aware that means nothing; there could be thermal scanners, pressure pads, or even something as simple as hidden cameras in the walls or ceiling. Stark is as sneaky as he is clever, and you’re the last one to underestimate him.
He is your hero, after all.
--
The elevator doesn’t make a sound as it reaches the workshop floor, nor as the doors open with a smooth glide, and it’s equal parts unnerving and impressive. You don’t waste time studying the elevator, though; you leave the elevator car, creeping down the hall until you come to a wall of glass.
All that’s between you and your goal now are a keypad and a shatterproof glass door.
You pull the hacking device you custom built and programmed from your belt and attach it to the keypad. Numbers scroll across the screen until, finally, the security code is displayed in blinking green.
You grin in satisfaction and press the appropriate numbers. The door opens.
You’re in.
You stalk into the darkened shop, padding across the floor without making a sound. You reach up and pull down a pair of homebrew infrared goggles.
Let’s see. If I was a super-genius, where would I keep a high-tech, flying suit of armour?
You see some display cases on the other end of the room -- you’re unsurprised to see that Stark preserves his old suits, considering how attached he seems to be to them -- and are preparing to search for the mechanism that will open the cases, but it’s not necessary; there’s a half-assembled suit laid out on one of the work benches, as though its owner left in the middle of performing repairs on it.
Jackpot! You hadn’t dared hope you would get this lucky; the newest model of the Iron Man suit, just laying there in the open, completely unguarded? This is better than anything you could’ve dreamed of!
You approach the workbench, stepping over and around other half-complete projects that Stark has left scattered around. There are what you assume to be deactivated automated assistants, too, arm-like structures with claw shaped grasping appendages on the ends.
Under different circumstances, you would love to stick around and see what this place looks like when it’s up and running at full capacity. You bet it’s amazing.
You shake those thoughts from your head. Focus on the task at hand, you remind yourself. Your window is incredibly small.
You carefully open the faceplate of the helmet and search for a data upload terminal. Once you’ve found it, you pull your scanner from your belt and attach it to the terminal, activating it. Your heart flutters giddily. You’re so close.
And then, a voice says, “Right, I think I’ve let this go a little too far. JARVIS, lights.”
The lights slowly start to come up. You hastily remove your goggles and turn to find none other than Tony Stark standing at the far end of the room.
He smiles and waves shortly. “Hi. I’d introduce myself, but,” he swirls his finger in a circle, “seeing as we’re here, I’m pretty sure it’s not necessary.”
You’re completely dumbfounded. You have no idea what to do, what to say -- how do you explain yourself?
You came up with a plan for every scenario, except for the one where you got caught.
“Uh,” you begin, “I… I don’t… I mean, I’m not-- It’s not--”
“You, on the other hand, have some serious explaining to do. You could start with who you are, for example, and why you’re in my house, and how in the hell you managed to build a bunch of shit that neutralised my security measures.” He points an accusatory finger at you. “You hacked me. Nobody does that, nobody has ever done that. How did you do that?”
You open and close your mouth, at a total loss for words. “W-Well, um, I… I just did?” It’s a terrible explanation and you know it. You kind of want to dissolve into the floor; this was not how this was supposed to go, not at all.
Stark looks incredulous. “You… just did. Huh. Okay. Well, I just thought I’d let you know I went along with this little charade because, if we’re being honest, I found the concept of someone smart enough to hack Stark Industries enticing. I figured I’d just wait and see where you were going with it. But, since you were just after the suit -- totally boring motivation, by the way, that’s been done like a thousand times by now, what is it, money or power? -- I’m gonna have to see you out now.” He pulls out a wafer-thin, see through card and taps on it. “Jay, let Happy know we have an interloper on sublevel--”
“Wait!” You cry out. “Wait, please don’t kick me out!”
He looks at you, quirking a brow. “And why should I not?”
You fidget awkwardly, feeling a little stupid in your thief getup. “I… I didn’t want the suit to sell it, or weaponise it, or whatever. I just wanted to see if I could… If I could make one better,” you admit, your face reddening.
Stark is silent for a moment, which you aren’t sure is a good thing. Then, he says, “Huh. Okay,” and the way he says ‘okay’ turns it into a four-syllable word. “So, you broke into my house, disabled all my security, and entered my private workshop without permission… because you were curious?”
You nod, a little embarrassed. “Yeah.”
“Curiosity killed the cat, you know,” he says, with a hint of a smile. “Not so sure about the cat burglar.”
“But satisfaction brought it back,” you retort.
“And you’re feeling satisfied with yourself, are you?”
You shrug, starting to relax as you settle into the rhythm of the banter. “I could be. Depends whether or not you’re planning to call the cops on me.”
The hint of smile turns into an outright grin. “And ruin this thing we’ve got goin’ on? Now, why in the world would I do that?”
You laugh. “...Does this mean I get to look at the suit after all?”
Stark makes a show of considering your request. “We can work up to it,” he says. “After you show me what you’re really capable of.”
--
You spend what must be hours down in the workshop -- Tony Stark’s workshop! -- shyly explaining how your devices work, and then you move upstairs to the living room and spread out schematics across the table, trying valiantly not to explode on the spot when the guy you’ve had a crush on since you were, like, ten tells you your craftsmanship and code are just about as good as anything he’s ever seen, which is really saying something.
You’re so focused on trying to seem like you don’t care that much about his approval that when he says, “So, hey, how about next week, we meet up somewhere for a little intellectual conversation over coffee?” you nearly miss it. (‘Nearly’ being the operative word, of course.)
“I… What?”
“Unless you don’t like coffee. We could do lunch,” he continues, and somehow, he almost seems as nervous as you were just a moment ago.
The idea of Tony Stark being nervous to ask you for coffee or lunch -- you, of all people -- is laughable, so much so that it sends all your nerves running for the hills.
“Yeah,” you say. “No, I mean, coffee’s fine. I love coffee.”
He nods. “Good. Good, I’ll see you then. Hopefully this time you won’t break into my house beforehand.”
You fluster immediately at that, stammering, and he waves it off.
“Kidding,” he says. “I let you get in, remember? You’re fun, you’re a good,” he waves his hand as if trying to summon the words from nowhere. “Conversationalist. You grok me.”
You nod.
He slaps his knees and clears his throat. “Welp,” he says, standing up, “it’s been fun, but as everyone in my life loves to remind me, I have a company to run, so as much as I would love to spend the rest of the day talking about fun stuff, I sorta can’t. Walk you to the door?”
“Sure.”
He sees you out, reminding you not to forget about your “little rendezvous next week, I’ll pick you up and take you someplace swanky, my treat.”
You don’t feel nervous about it at all. You just met your idol, and all you had to do was break into his house and try to steal the plans for his top-secret superhero suit.
You can’t wait to find out what he wants to talk about next week.
Hey, could you please do a Tony Stark x Reader with prompt 75 from the kiss list? I just feel like that's such a thing he'd do 😂
75- Kisses Meant To Distract The Other Person From Whatever They Were Intently Doing
You’re absolute damn right that’s something he would definitely do!
---
Mistakes
You’re typing away at your computer when you hear Tony’s voice. You instinctively scoot yourself down, not being too obvious, but done enough that he might not see you as soon as he walks in.
It’s not that you don’t want your boyfriend to see you...
...its that you don’t want your boyfriend to see you right now.
You loved Tony, you really did, but he was so goddamn infuriating when he was bored and wanted attention.
Which is what he wanted constantly if he wasn’t working on one of his projects.
“How much is it? That’s ridiculously expensive. Uh huh...mhmm...yeah I’ll take ten, buy it, ship it, send it.”
You roll your eyes. Listening to Tony on the phone was one of the more amusing parts of your day but sometimes he was just ridiculous to be ridiculous. You start typing again, as quietly as you can.
You hear him hang up, but you don’t dare move from your position. You can hear Tony walking to the door.
Almost there, almost there.
“[Y/N?]”
Fuck. So close.
You don’t look up from your screen, murmuring a soft hello, hoping that your busy demeanor will sway Tony from interrupting you.
Of course, that was your first mistake.
Tony likes getting everything he wants. He likes doing things that people say he can’t do. He likes pushing boundaries. He likes a challenge.
He sits beside you, and you inwardly groan. “How’s my favorite person in the world?”
“Funny, I thought you were your favorite person in the world,” you say, not even stopping your typing as you talk.
He chuckles warmly, not thrown by your words. “Hm...you’re right. How’s my second favorite person in the world?”
You snort.
“Go away, Tony. I’m busy. I’ll talk to you later.”
There’s your second mistake. Tony doesn’t like to be lower in priority against anything.
He blinks as if he doesn’t understand. “Work first? And then me?”
You smirk. “Wow, you really are a genius.”
His eyes narrow, and for a minute, his silence makes you think you’ve won.
There’s your third mistake. Tony’s always the winner.
His words are warm like his breath against your skin as he talks against your ear. “I know a million other things that are more interesting than this.”
You shiver and elbow him away. “Quit it, I’m working on something.”
His arms close around you, kissing along your neck. “Why work on that when you can work on me?” His voice is low, and it vibrates gently against you.
You try to keep working, ignoring him. Damn, how much Tony hates to be ignored.
He bites down gently, and you fumble your words in your document. “Honestly, Tony, can’t you wait five minutes?” Oh, right. He hates waiting too. Mistake, mistake, mistake.
“No. I cannot.” He scoops you up and starts walking to his bedroom.
“Tony! Let me down this instant!” You try to sound angry, but he cuts you off with a hard kiss. Its the kind of kiss that makes you forget everything and anything except for Tony and Tony alone.
Just as he wanted.
“No,” he answers simply, closing the bedroom door behind him. You try to think of something to refute, but the kiss is still on your mind.

“Oh darling, what are you doing?”
You rolled your eyes, despite knowing the man across the room couldn’t see the motion. It was all playful though.
“Just changing up the tunes, Ton. Want to listen to something from this decade for a change.”
You finally got the reaction you wanted as you saw him lift his head up from his project as he scoffed.
Seeing you lazily resting there, watching him like a cat, though, threw him slightly off balance and his scoff turned into a cough as he tried to stop his blush.
Enjoying that you were riling him up, you smiled at him, satisfied as you noticed the ever so slight hitch in his breath.
You walked around your workstation over to his, taking in the feeling of confidence oozing off you. As you held the remote in your hand, twirling it around, you noticed Tony’s eyes drift down to it. Realizing you were up to something, he looked back up at you and slightly squinted his eyes. If there was anything Tony Stark hated, or loved, rather, was a puzzle that was yet to be solved.
And that’s what you were to him. The greatest, most alluring puzzle of all. He tried charm, and it worked. He tried smarts, and it worked. He tried everything. And it worked. Just not enough to break you from this game of cat and mouse you two constantly played. It’s like you enjoyed toying with him. Liked the chase.
Hell, it was like watching you in battle. You took your sweet time chasing the enemy, especially when you knew they were caught. In times when he laid alone, questioning the meaning of your actions, he wondered if he would ever break from your cycle of flirting, yet not acting.
As you brought his attention back to the present, he realized you were close. Very close. As if you could read his mind, you paused, almost mockingly.
“Am I making you uncomfortable?”
Despite the playfulness in your voice, he knew you would stop if he said the word.
He shook his head and you gave him a thousand watt smile and placed your arms onto his shoulders.
“Good,” you sighed, “I need some comforting.”
You loved the immediate furrow in his brow and the amount of attention you were receiving after disclosing the tiniest amount of being anything but happy.
Tony opened his mouth to try to speak but his voice came out hoarse so he cleared his throat.
“Are you alright, darling?”
You felt yourself swoon at his sincerity. You felt like the only person in the world at that moment.
“Yes. I had a run in with an overly… friendly agent today.”
At that, he frowned more intensely and tried to stand up.
You softly pushed him back down and stroked his cheek. You moved your body so you stood between his open legs.
“It was nothing terrible. Just… troubling.”
His curiosity further piqued at that.
“Troubling?”
You nodded and coyly bit your lip, watching as his eyes tried to hold yours and not be tempted.
You sighed again, somewhat dramatically.
“Yes. He asked me to dinner.”
Tony opened his mouth to surely protest. You could feel the jealousy begin to radiate off of him. You enjoyed it for a moment before deciding you could stop toying with him. Finally, and truly, stop toying with him.
With your finger held to his lips, to quiet him, you felt more tempted than ever to give in. His lips felt so soft and electrifying under your touch.
You broke the stunned silence that had formed between you two.
“I said no, of course.” You kept your eyes on him, watching the stress somewhat melt away.
You continued, happy with the trap you had set.
“And the worst thing? He was even younger than me. Not that it’s a problem for a partner to be older than the other…”
You paused, letting the words sink in.
“But I’m simply not interested in men my age. Or below.”
Tony’s confidence visibly grew, an aura of light surrounding him.
“Is that so?”
He finally brought his hands to your body and let them explore your body for a moment before coming to a rest on your hips.
You melted into the touch and couldn’t help the eager smile blooming on your face.
“So,” he began, his thumbs drawing circles in your hips, almost absentmindedly.
“If you’re not into men younger than you. Or your age…”
You couldn’t help but laugh, the gleeful feeling of finally catching your prey filling your body with ecstasy.
“Well, Anthony,”
His eyes darkened and you felt his body twitch underneath you as you said his name.
“That only leaves older men.”
You felt the anxious energy flowing through the room and let your eyes flutter closed. Feeling your body being brought closer to his, you parted your lips slightly. Wanting so badly to give in to your desires.
As you felt his shaky breath mingle with yours, you took the leap and pressed your lips against his, so softly it was barely registered.
You pulled away and opened your eyes, seeing the intoxicating brown eyes staring back at you.
And then… in a split second. The dam finally broke.
You two slammed into each other, lips crashing against each other roughly as your bodies twisted together. Tony stood up beneath you and lifted you up to the counter of his workstation, probably wiping away hours of work, but neither of you cared about anything in the moment other than the feeling of one another.
Your hands roamed his body and found their way into his hair, and his continued their hold on your hips. As you both finally pulled apart for air, you opened your eyes to see the disheveled man before you. The wisps of gray sprinkling his hair were so visible to you as your eyes scanned every part of his face.
Your eyes drifted to the remote sitting beside that Tony must have pulled from your hands when he lifted you up.
His eyes followed yours and he pulled back, wanting to see what had pulled your attention from him. He saw the small remote and grabbed it slowly. Looking back up at you, he pressed the play button, causing music to fill the room.
I haven't seen my ex since we broke up
Probably 'cause he didn't wanna grow up
Now I'm out and wearing something low-cut
'Bout to get attention from a grownup
As the song began, he looked at you, slightly interested, slightly confused.
“What is this?”, he asked.
'Cause you hold me like a woman
In a way I've never felt before
And it makes me wanna hold on
And it makes me wanna be all yours
You let the bass flow through you and waited for the chorus to hit before you spoke.
Guys my age don't know how to treat me
Don't know how to treat me, don't know how to treat me
