Happy Wedding Day :’)
Venom scarf knitting parrten
For anyone who’s interested in making one: here
PS: It’s modified by the fox scarf pattern you can find on the internet. I just changed the head pattern. Since I don’t know the english terms for knitting, hope the knitting signs in the file is enough (I think they’re international?)
The finished product looks like this:
There is a mouth that can “bite” the tail of the scarf, so Venom can wrap itself nice and steadily on your shoulder. I haven’t got my lazy ass out to buy the frabic to sew on its teeths so it looks a bit funny now.
The head is the only more complicate part. Started a double sided knitting with black and red yarns (you can find good tutorials on youtube). Switch the black yarn to white to make the eyes, the only tricky part is working three yearns at the same time and pay attention to sandwich the white yarn between the black and red ones.
After the upper head is done, seperate the two sides, continue with the black side and simply knit the body in whatever pattern you desire.
After the body is done, goes back to the red side, started another double sided knitting with new black yarn, knit a mirror shape of the upper head (just follow the pattern of the head in my file but do it in reverse steps) so that you get a lower jaw. Knit a tongue, sew on some teeths, and you got a Venom scarf!
Do you know hoe the Ko-Fi works? Like I want to start one but I don't understand how it works? I asked someone else before but they took it as I want to donate to them, and when I corrected they never answered, it may have gotten burried but still, anxiety is mean, and I'm just wondering, sorry if its stupid to ask
Creating a Ko-Fi is super easy. If you go to their website, just click create a page in the upper right hand corner and follow the instructions. You sign up with an email and password, and then you have to create a display name, write a brief bio, and optionally upload a picture of some sort. Your ko-fi is, or at least mine is, connected to your paypal account. So when people donate to you, it goes there. Once you’ve created your account, from your dashboard there should be a “your page” section with your ko-fi link that you can then share with people.
i had to go talk to one of my bosses today
Since I now have many jobs (6 and counting), I need to specify that it’s one of the bosses from the online math classes company. I make math graphs for them, from home.
Him: So we’re hiring more people since the company is getting bigger, and since you’re our best graphic designer and the one with more experience-
Me (internally): Aw shit when did that happen, I didn’t want that, there’s responsibilities that come with that..
Him: - we need you to explain your process so our new designers can work better.
Me (internally): Told ya.
Him: So, what can you tell me about your work process.
Me: I’m in my pyjamas, I get a cup of tea and I complain a lot about the math teachers?
Him (internally): You little shit. (probably, I don’t know, I’ don’t read minds.)
Him: Haha.
Me (internally): Yeah but if you’re hiring new people, are you going to keep me or is it going to be like last time where you cut my job and I had to go back to retail and then spend two months jobless.
Me (out loud): Yeah but if you’re hiring new people, are you going to keep me or is it going to be like last time where you cut my job and I had to go back to retail and then spend two months jobless.
Him: We are keeping you. About last time, it was a company move where we had to outsource and (insert rest of excuse, anyway the move didn’t work and I spent six months uber stressed and penniless and now I don’t trust them farther than I can throw them) but yes, we ARE keeping you. As I said, you’re the best and most experienced.
Me (screaming internally)
Me: So what do you want me to do?
Him: We need you to make videos explaining how to make the graphs.
Me: ...There’s already a reference document. I made it. It’s 50 pages long and covers everything you can encounter in a math problem.
Him: Yes, that’s the problem, it’s too long and too precise. The other designers don’t read it, they can’t find the relevant information.
Me: ... There’s a table of contents.
Him: Yes. But still. Very simple and short videos would be great.
Me: Okay, sure, I can tell them what fonts and stroke weights to use and how to make a quick graph, how to use the company colors in a table-
Him: Start simpler. Like “Open Photoshop. Click on the file.”
Me (cries internally)
tohru & kagura photocard i made tdy 🙈
next campaign is Algirdas and Kestutis but I ain't writin all that so I'll just call it Lithuania. my people..... sort of.. heritage is weird when you're adopted but anyway, I don't know near as much about Lithuania as I would like so I'm glad this is here
These two are brothers and close allies so the first two chapters their towns are right next to each other which was nice, having an ally in your corner. but in chapter 2 you actually control each of their towns separately which I rather would not. Too hectic. Took trial and error to decide which order I was gonna do things in. Not bad once you figure it out though.
like some of the other newer campaigns, this one has a lot more dialogue between the characters. it's fine I guess but really no Devapala. HOWEVER I do love the Lithuanian map, the forest and fen landscape is very pleasing to me, love the architecture set (those Lithuanian brick castles are my FAV also irl) and I adore the theme music. It uses a kanklės which is basically the Lithuanian kantele and i am so here for it. aesthetically this campaign speaks to me
