"I'm sorry, I can't today. Thanks for having invited me anyway, Kurahashi-san."

After saying goodbye to my friends, I went down the hill which led to our classroom, 3rd E class of Kunugigaoka Junior High School, to go home; it was late afternoon -so much the sun was already starting to set- so I decided to hurry, since it was starting to get a little cold for me, who was only wearing school shirt and jacket.

However, while I was walking briskly, a hand grasped my arm and dragged me into an alley.

"Let me go!" I continued to scream, but instead of receiving a warning to shut up or a slap as I expected, I was greeted by a pair of very familiar arms that hugged me, causing me to slam my back into the chest of my attacker.

"Itona! You scared me! Why are you here so early? We were supposed to meet in two hours, or am I wrong?"

My boyfriend was silent for a few seconds, still holding me close, and then replied: "I missed you, so I decided to come earlier".

"Awwww, love! You could have called me though: it would have saved me a big scare..." I said as I turned to hug Itona tightly from the front, burying my face in his chest. He quickly replied he didn't have his phone due to the tentacle training he had just finished, but that made me look a little sad.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't like what Yanagisawa is making you do..."

"(Y/N), we've already talked about this: I want to be the strongest, and I don't want you to get in my way, so stay out of this."

"Okay..." I answered him disconsolately, not satisfied with my umpteenth failure: ever since Itona had told me about his decision to get the tentacles, I had always opposed it, especially since I feared for my boyfriend's health, but also because I was worried about Korosensei -I had grown very fond of that teacher, although he was quite strange!-.

My fiancé wasted no time, though, and changed the subject, asking me about my day; we immediately started strolling, careful not to be discovered by my classmates, who could have walked down the same street we were progressing on to go to karaoke, holding our hands, while I was talking animatedly about what had happened that day. I couldn't notice him, but, as I chatted, Itona had a sweet look on his face while watching me.

We stopped at an ice cream shop to have a snack together and, in front of a table and with a nice ice cream in front of us to share, we spent about half an hour, during which we talked about this and that, especially about our plans for the future: for instance, he told me he would like to work in a technology company (after defeating Korosensei, obviously).

"I also want to marry you." Itona came out after a few moments of silence with that sentence, which left me shocked.

"W-what?"

"I said I want to marry you." He repeated, not at all flustered, unlike me, who was agitated and very red, with my heart beating so hard I could feel it coming out of my rib cage.

What gave me the final blow after that shocking statement was my boyfriend's action of tucking a lock of hair, which had fallen onto my face and was about to fall into the empty bowl of ice cream, behind my ears: his hand lingered on my cheek for a few seconds after having fixed my hair, caressing it gently; I felt myself blushing so much I felt like I was on fire.

"Don't -My beloved brought my attention back to him- you want to marry me?"

"N-no! I-I mean, y-yes, I want to marry you!"

Itona's eyes widened slightly, and a very light and adorable blush spread across his cheeks, also because, by screaming like that, I had attracted the gaze of everyone, who was now staring at us and chatting with each other, in the ice cream shop, making me put my hands in front of my face to hide both myself and my blush and grab Itona and drag him away from the ice cream shop.

Our improvised date ended with a very pleasant walk to my house, during which we didn't bring up the subject of marriage again -we would think about it in about ten years...- but we talked about the organization of our weekend dates (since the next day would be my mother's birthday, we wouldn't be able to meet as usual).

When we arrived at my house, Itona hugged me kindly for a few seconds and then let me go to it, without first giving me a sweet kiss on the lips.

He’s the type to catch on to your feelings quickly, because he’s so perceptive (and his slight ego) you’re not hiding your feelings from him no matter how many times you deny it.

He pushes it, making fun of you every chance he gets because he knows you’ll give a reaction.

“No one is staring at you! And I actually do understand this one!”

Being mean to him on accident is a common occurrence, as a result you get mad at yourself for the rest of the day.

During class you’re all outside practicing knife maneuvers, Karasuma demonstrated earlier but you were “having trouble.”

And he does help you, he grabs your hand a mimics the slashing motion, until:

Itona has no idea you like him, he’s the most oblivious person ever.

Especially with the way you act around him, all jumpy and awkward- he thought people only did that when they disliked someone.

He was so blind to your advances until Terasaka and the rest of his friends spelled it out for him.

Maehara was especially encouraging, (as much as he can be in his own way!) “You’ve got a chance with [Name] so take it before I steal her away with my charms!”

(Isogai is always right behind humbling him)

“Take your time Itona, don’t worry there’s no way in hell she’s gonna go for Maehara.”

The concept of relationships always felt far to him (this is also true with Karma but they have different reasons. Itona has been programmed to see relationships as trivial and unimportant while Karma cannot stand the idea of anyone being close enough to exploit his weaknesses.)

You were talking with Terasaka of all people, he was making you laugh so hard tears started to fall from your eyes.

Going as far as to grab onto him for support because your ribs were hurting.

Itona was fighting the urge to prove himself better, but he’s not exactly the most socially conscious or extroverted person, so he shook the unfamiliar feeling off.

Usually, he can fight people to showcase his superiority or strength but this wasn’t the same. He couldn’t fight Terasaka to prove he could make you laugh harder. He was confused as to why he would even want that!

He tries to learn to be more sociable by watching how his classmates interact.

When he finally gathers his resolve to make a joke it comes out of his mouth so unnaturally stiff.

The type of delivery that’s so bad it’s funnier that the joke.

Even if it wasn’t for the reason he intended, you still laughed and in his opinion it was way more genuine than when you were with Terasaka.

you play dumb, but he's extremely observant. he saw you take whatever you did.

so, after denying it for quite some time, you eventually gave it up. he paid for it. "wasn't that easier than trying to sneak it out?"

he's just there to make sure you don't accidentally do something stupid where there's no need to.

he loves you just the same, but is always silently offering to help with whatever you need.

(Part 1)

You've always admired a certain light blue haired guy in your class. His golden eyes were just too pretty for you to ignore. His name is Itona Horibe.

You never really knew much about him since he usually keeps stuff to himself, same with you, you never really speak to anyone since you were too shy and also prefers to keep stuff to yourself but the difference between you and him is that he's starting to get a little more social with others while you're still trying to get out of your comfort zone.

One thing about him that you're not sure if you like it or not is how blunt and straight forward he can be most of the time.

But theres one thing that you didn't know about him...

As much as you tried to get to know him, you always felt like your presence was annoying him. You tried to get his attention by talking to him a little bit but your shyness made it awkward.

One day, Koro-Sensei told the whole class that we're going to have a field trip to the beach ! You were excited. Some of the students were discussing on how they're going to assassinate Koro-Sensei at the beach and started brainstorming some ideas.

You're never really good at planning anything so you just go along with whatever plan or strategy they cooked up.

Those pervs, Okaijima and Maehara are definitely planning something as well....they're not really the best at hiding the fact that they're perverts.... ehhh who are you kidding... they're proud of being perverts especially Okaijima.

But your eyes drifted to Itona, the guy who you've always liked. It seems like he's spacing out. Maybe thinking about the trip.

If you're not mistaken, Itona's weakness is water. He's probably thinking about ways to keep himself dry for the whole trip.

You heard the sound of someone's footsteps approaching you and it was Nagisa.

Both you and Nagisa looked at him. You looked at him with a sparkle in your eyes and your cheeks went pink. His eyes went from his usual glistening golden eyes to dull golden eyes. He gave Nagisa a semi death glare which sent shivers to both your's and Nagisa's spine.

"Oh ! yikes... I didn't know sorry Itona..." Nagisa stuttered from his nervousness, Nagisa left the situation before it could get any worse. Nagisa never knew that he (Itona) could get any scarier than the first time he became a student in E class.

Itona nodded and Nagisa went back to his friends. You were still shocked at what just happened.

"(M/n)... Would you like to hang out with me during the field trip ?" He asked you as his eyes went back to his usual ones.

The day has finally come, everyone is there waiting for the train with their luggages. You were sitting on one of the benches that are available. You were waiting for Itona.

As you were waiting you felt a pair of eyes staring at you. You were getting kind of nervous because you hated being stared at until you caught a pair of familiar golden eyes staring at you.

"Itona-kun!" You gave him a big hug, you can feel his body heat up from the gesture. He puts his arms on your back and you blushed real hard from that.

You realize what you were doing and let him go.

"Ah... Itona-kun.. I'm so sorry for that- im so embarrassed..." You mumbled those last parts

As you were letting go you saw many of your classmates watching it went down, Karma as always took pictures for blackmail ! Typical Karma.

He noticed how nervous you're getting and held you closer to calm you down. Your hair puffed up out of embarrassment. He gave your hair a little ruffle.

"Its okay. If they ever tease you about it I'll make sure that is the last time they'll tease you." He said in his monotone voice with a flirtatious tone, as if he knows how much you liked him.

Welp... he probably does, you've been showing quite alot of hints before such as randomly giving him gifts (mostly handmade plushies), giving him compliments and etc. but you're a guy so he probably just see's it as a 'friendly' gesture which upsets you a little.

"(M/n). Lets get going. The train is here" Said the the light blue haired male as he took both of your luggages inside the train.

You nodded and followed him from behind. The inside of the train is so.... woah... its very luxury.

You clinged onto Itona as you guys were trying to find a seat for the both of you.

"Yo ! Itona ! (M/n) ! over here! " Okaijima's voice startled you. You saw Okaijima and Maehara staring at you weirdly.

Itona noticed the way they were staring at you and his eyes begans to dull and bloodlust filled his body. Koro-sensei immediately stopped him and calmed him down.

He took multiple deep breaths so calm himself down, after Koro sensei left the scene he glared at those two guys making them shiver down to their spine.

You and Itona went to your guy's seat and enjoyed the whole ride with your crush literally by your side.

During the whole ride, you and Itona got to know eachother more and more..

As you were conversing with him, he went thru his bag to search for something. He pulled the item he was looking for and gave it to you.

Your eyes began to glisten, your heartbeat begins to fasten and your cheeks turns into a soft pink tint, It feels like falling inlove for the first time again. Your eyes fluttered, you felt as if you were hit by a calm cool breeze.

The whole class stopped what they were doing and was paying attention to the both of you. Karma as usual pulled up his camera so he could use it as blackmail and tease you by showing you the pictures/videos he took. You tried to ignore them and placed your attention all to Itona.

You were nervous but you gave him a soft smile.

"Thank you Itona-kun."

This time, instead of you having a face red as Karma's hair its Itona !

You chuckled at his reaction.

(Part 3)

You guys finally arrived at your guy's destination. As you were taking your luggage out of the space you put your luggage at, you felt Itona's hands intertwined with yours. You smiled at the male and told him that you promise you'll hold his hands again after you got out your luggage it was kinda heavy so you had a hard time taking it out.

After you got it out you held Itona's hand again and walked to the place where Koro-Sensei told everyone to gather at.

Koro-sensei lectured us about the rules that'll be set during the whole field trip, gave us keys to our ryokan rooms and told us to gather up again for dinner. There will be two different ryokans, one for girls and one for boys. for each room, there will be two people in it.

Which means, for the ryokan that us boys will stay in will take up 8 rooms from the ryokan while the girls will take 6 room, one of the rooms will have 3 people.

Koro-sensei assigned me and Itona as roomates, he definitely has catched up on whats going on with me and Itona.

Itona puts his hands onto my shoulders and I looked at him with a smile.

"Itona-kun,lets go !" I said as i held his hands and walk him to our room.

"Its pretty nice dont you think ?" You asked as you opened the door to you guy's shared rooms.

He nodded as the both of you entered the room.

You took one of the futons provided by the ryokan and lay it on the tatami mat so you could lay down before Koro-sensei tells you guys to gather up.

"Im so excited for tomorrow! Its been a while since I went to the beach! What about you Itona-kun ? Are you excited ?" You said as you stuttered a little but compared to earlier, you've improved alot ! You're slowly getting out of your shell but only with Itona, around others you're still the same ol' shy (M/n).

"Yes. I am, I am most excited to see you in your swimming suit (M/n.)" He said with his expressionless face as his cheeks turned red. You forgot how straightforward he can get and you can't believe what you just heard.

After dinner----

After dinner you and Itona went back to your shared room and chilled for a few hours until its the appropriate time to sleep, you were busy crocheting something for him to the point where you didnt realize that he was hugging you from behind.

"Itona-kun..."

"(M/n)... Its already late, we should *yawn* go to sleep." He said in his still monotone voice but sleepier

"Dont worry, I'll cuddle you when you sleep" he added.

You tried not to blush again but you failed. Instead of nodding you hugged him back.

When you hugged him, it caused the both of you to accidentally fell onto the ground but thank god theres a pillow saving his head from getting a concussion.

You realized that you were laying on top of him but honestly you didn't care (you actually cared, you were about to get up but Itona's hands were on your back so you just stayed there), you continued laying on his chest as his hands stroke your back.

The both of you were so sleepy to the point you guys slept in this position till morning.

You woke up and your face turned red because you realized that you were sleeping on Itona's chest. You got up to give yourself a little stretch before you start the day off.

You changed into your yukata since you'll be using the onsen that's provided by the ryokan to bathe. You also took a towel with you. You made sure that it's still early so nobody sees you.

You went into the locker room and took off all your clothes basically leaving you naked, you cover your bottom part with a towel tied to your waist.

You went to the bath and relaxed there for around 30 minutes, as much as you wanted to relax for a little longer, you're afraid that others will see you so you rinsed of your body, dried it, put on some deodorant and slipped your yukata back on.

You went back to your room to only be greeted with a frustrated looking Itona, its as if he was looking for something and is frustrated because he cant find it. When Itona spotted you, he tackled you to the ground. Almost kissing you.

"I..Itona-kun, are you okay ?" You said as you put your hands on his back.

"Where did you go. I was so worried when I woke up not seeing you in my arms." He said, holding you tighter.

"I'm sorry, I was bathing in the onsen, I went there early so people wont see me..." He looks at you and sighed.

"It's okay, at least you're safe. I wont hesitate to assassinate whoever who dares to harm you, whether its on purpose or not." You, being oblivious you thought he said those words because he sees you as an amazing friend and wanted to protect you like how he protects his other friends (YOU STUPID ASS HE LIKES YOU HOE...)

A few hours later

Its finally time ! We're going to the beach! You took your swim wear and a towel as you waited for Itona to get his stuff.

He finally finished and held your hand as a way to signal you that he's ready to go.

The both of you went to change your clothes first, you changed from the yukata you were wearing earlier to some swimming trunks. You were kind of nervous because you're really insecure about your body since unlike you classmates, abs are something that you don't have.

You waited for Itona and felt a small tap on your shoulders, you thought it was Itona, to your disappointment it was actually Okaijima and Maehara but this time they weren't really acting all weird but they just had an average conversation with you and Okaijima told you his plans on taking pictures of the girls, he has amazing photography skills but sadly he used those skills of his for the wrong thing.

You didn't realize that a pair of golden eyes were staring at you from behind because you we're conversing with Okaijima and Maehara. He approached the three of you and gave the other two boys his death glare, in the other hand, he gave you his usual stare.

Okaijima and Maehara took their leave as fast as possible while Itona was too busy staring at your shirtless body.

You saw the way he was looking at you and got very nervous. He was staring at how feminine your body looks, well... Nagisa also has a feminine body but at least he has light abs! You dont even have any !

"You look very beautiful (M/n)." Those 4 words directed to you was enough to make your heart flutter.

"Thank you... you also look very handsome Itona-kun" You can feel your body heat rising, such embarrassing feelings...

The both of you went to the beach to see everyone there, you wave at Nagisa since he's the only few people who acknowledged your existence (other than Itona,Okaijima and Maehara) and his friends then place your attention back to Itona.

You were just casually conversing with him until you saw Nagisa approaching you.

"(M/n) ! Itona ! Do you guys want to play beach volleyball with us ?"

You hesitated for a second but agreed since you feel like its your time to shine !

You're never really open about your interest in sports but you're pretty good at volleyball so why not.

Itona disagreed and said that he would rather watch instead.

After the game !

Whilst you were playing earlier, you saw Okaijima took pictures of the girls who were playing beach volleyball with you guys and you mentally face palmed yourself.

You and your team won the game ! You were happy but you always see yourself giving subtle glances at Itona.

It was getting late and most of your classmates are already packing but you and Itona were still there.

The sound of the shore and the smell of the salty sea feels more romantic than it was earlier.

The both of you sat on the dry sand as you guys watch the beautiful sunset, the colors of the sky reflected to the water which made the atmosphere much more calming.

You felt Itona's hand brushed agaisnt your's which made your heart beats faster. You didn't think nothing much of it until you feel both of Itona's hands intertwined with yours making you face him.

"(M/n)..." This was the first time you saw him getting nervous.

"I like you. Will you be my boyfriend?" You felt your cheeks lit up and said....

"Itona-kun... I.. I also like you, and *giggles* yes, I would love to be your boyfriend." You gave him a gentle smile and felt his forehead touching yours as he leans in for a kiss, you were surprised but kissed him back

His lips were soft.

You were lost in thought. It feels like you've finally felt eternal happiness.

The both of you broke the kiss at the same time. You saw the male looking very flustered, you yourself was surprise because of how many emotions/expressions he showed today.

You chuckled and gave him a peck on the cheeks.

The both of you were enjoying eachothers company then Koro-sensei pop out of nowhere.

"YES ! My plan of having a beach field trip to set the both of you guys up worked ! Fufufu~ you two have fun~" The yellow octopus said with a big smile. (as if his smile aint big enough) Then he left the scene, running in zigzags while giggling.

Me and Itona were kinda of confused but you broke the silence with a tiny giggle. He was getting kind of flustered as he just realized that the whole trip his brother planned was to set him and you up. Your tiny giggle made him even more flustered so he kissed you to shut you up.

Bonus !!

It was the end of the trip, you and Itona who is now you boyfriend walked to the train station that Koro-Sensei told us to gather up. As we were walking we saw our classmates went like 'oooooooooh' to tease us since they probably already know because Koro-sensei told them.

Itona held you closer since he didn't really understand why his classmates went 'oooooh' when they see you and him together but c'mon- he's still new to all of this and wants you and only you to be his first and his last.
